Cute lights up makes noises adorable, till my 3 year old decided to try it on mom and got it stuck in my hair when I wasn't looking, now it's clocked with hair and won't go, but users fault not company's really was/ is cute. Functions great, he loves it still fits in with the train track but you do need the peices that connect to open ends to each other otherwise your train track won't connect

I ordered this product because I had purchased a previous product from Mayabbo and was very pleased with it. After taking this product out of the Amazon box, I noticed that the tape had been cut that sealed the train box shut. That didn’t bother me, it can happen, but after getting the remote out it felt heavy. The description stated that batteries were not included. When I opened the battery pack there was one Kirkland (Costco) AAA battery in it and one Ray O Vac AAA battery in it. It appeared that it had been previously returned. I swapped out those batteries and put in brand new batteries and the remote still did not work. I liked the look of it and the tunnel was cool looking with great lights on it but was not compatible with my wood train track. It had two female connections on it when it needs a female end and a male end to connect to a track. Had to return.

My nearly 4 year old loves his new red choo-choo train, and this thing provides hours of play. It does require a charge once in awhile, but I have found that after only about ten minutes or less of charging it is ready to be played with again. It comes with the locomotive and the train car, as well as a remote that has various switches and buttons on it, as well as a tunnel for the train to drive through and which can connect to the other Brio wooden track pieces we have. It also drives very fast so it keeps his attention more than other trains he played with before getting this one. You won't be disappointed!

My son is a lover of all and anything train related, and it includes this toy train. He has a bunch of Brio trains and accessories (tracks, signage, tunnels, etc), and this toy train set fits perfectly with them. This toy train set has a magnet system just like the Brio trains, and the included tunnel also fits with the Brio train tracks.The toy train is rechargeable via USB C, which is nice, and that I don't have to use any specialized chargers, BUT, none of my USB C cables worked to charge the toy train, except for the provided cable, which I found very weird. The brands of USB C cables that I've attempted to use, and did not work on this toy train were: Anker, Amazon, and Samsung cables. The controller for the train set required two AAA batteries. The controller allows for the train to go forward, backwards, and plays a set number of sounds (train horn, track sounds, tunnel sounds).The controller is nice to have, but it's also a drawback to the train. The train itself doesn't have a dedicated button to move it forward/backwards. The only button on the train is to turn it on, and it's also used to go forward and backwards. Pressing the button once makes it go forward, pressing again will stop, pressing again will go backwards, and it repeats. Hopefully the remote lasts and there'll be a way to get another remote through the manufacturer to keep better control of the train.The toy train is fast! It's a lot faster than all of his other Brio trains, and there's no way to control the speed. While the speed of the train can be nice, the train derails often from the train tracks, and it separates away from the remainder of the trains that attaches to it due to the quick acceleration on takeoff.In my opinion, this toy train set would get 5 stars if the train itself had two additional buttons on it that would make the train go forward or backwards, and if the speed could be adjusted.

First of all, the product directions are not included in the packaging. You will find them in the Amazon advertisement. Weird. I purchased this because it has a rechargeable battery through a USB port rather than the usual AA batteries. Of course, it does not include a charger, but does include a cord. The engine lit up during the charging period, as it should. The directions call for about a 40 minute charge. When the light goes off it will be fully charged. My light never went off. To turn on the engine you press the button on top for about 3 seconds. After several tries of more than 3 seconds, the engine never turned on. At this price point I knew that this was not going to be very high quality. But it turned out to be your typical Chinese piece of garbage. I am returning it and requested a replacement hoping that the five year old, for whom this was intended, can wait patiently another couple of days. So glad that this was not a Christmas gift.REPLACEMENT ITEM Amazon was very good about replacing the item quickly. This time it charged and ran — for two minutes. I charged it again with the same result. I cannot stress enough how disappointing this has been to a five year old and to me who has had to deal with this very poor quality item. No replacement this time. I’ll try a different product entirely. Fingers crossed.
