New brand for me and it worked fine. First use was soldering some 16 gauge stranded wires @ 350C and the joints ended strong. No complaints for the initial use.

This solder wire has been great for my electronics repair projects. I recently used it to fix my Nintendo Pro Controller, and it worked perfectly. The solder flows smoothly and creates strong connections. It's also easy to work with, even for someone with limited soldering experience like myself. If you're into electronics repair or DIY projects, I'd definitely recommend this solder wire.

For soldering electronics, great flow and rosing cuts through that anti stick coating on some potentiometers.

Does what it’s supposed to. It solders okay and binds the wiring, motherboards, etc. Highly recommend it.

Love this stuff. It is all I purchase now, melts like butter at almost any temp. Acts like the very, very old stuff I had that was finally running out. Tried others, but I think the lack of lead cause all sorts of issues unless the temp was perfect. But I solder various items so it was really getting annoying trying to get them to work well. This stuff just works, no issues.

Used this to recap an Original Xbox and had no issues at all!Quality of Solder Wire:The TOWOT Tin Lead Rosin Core Solder Wire is a reliable choice for electrical soldering tasks. It features a composition of 60% tin (Sn) and 40% lead (Pb), which strikes a good balance between melting point and conductivity. The solder wire is consistent in diameter (0.8mm), making it suitable for both fine and medium soldering jobs.Rosin Core Flux:The integrated rosin flux core enhances soldering efficiency by promoting good wetting and solder flow. It helps to minimize oxidation during the soldering process, ensuring strong and durable electrical connections.Ease of Use:This solder wire melts smoothly and evenly at a relatively low temperature, which is convenient for delicate electronic components. The rosin flux activates quickly when heated, facilitating a clean and reliable solder joint without excessive smoke or residue.Versatility:Ideal for a variety of applications, including circuit boards, wires, and small electronic repairs. It adheres well to common metals used in electronics, such as copper and tin-plated surfaces.Packaging and Handling:The solder wire comes neatly wound on a spool, which prevents tangling and ensures easy dispensing during use. The 50g size is sufficient for hobbyist and small-scale professional projects, offering good value for money.Safety Considerations:Due to its lead content, it's important to use adequate ventilation or a fume extractor when soldering with this product. Proper handling and disposal practices should be followed to minimize environmental impact.Overall Rating:The TOWOT Tin Lead Rosin Core Solder Wire (0.8mm, 50g) is highly recommended for its consistent quality, ease of use, and effectiveness in electronics soldering tasks. It strikes a good balance between affordability and performance, making it a practical choice for both beginners and experienced soldering enthusiasts.
