Our Scratch & Chip Putty is created for all those moments where the damage is too deep to paint over. When your car has pits, holes, or deep scratches, fill the gaps with TouchUpDirect Scratch & Chip Putty before you start painting. No mixing or difficult or complicated procedures involved, simply squeeze the putty out onto the spreader we provide.

How to use TouchUpDirect Scratch & Chip Putty
Wipe away any loose paint, grease, rust or dirt. Apply tape around the damaged area to protect the paint. Begin to smooth out the deep scratch by wet sanding.
Squeeze putty onto the spreader. Once that is done, apply putty to the scratch or chip. Use the spreader to smooth the area and remove excess putty. Wait 30 minutes to dry.
Smooth out the putty by wet sanding with sandpaper and water. Remove tape and clear the area.
Now the surface is ready for the paint job. Start with Primer.

the tube was so small and was filled with mostly air, I was able to fill a few pin holes on my project but very dissapointed in the amount of puddy in the tube.

The US dollar does not come with the kit! (only for size comparison) It worked fine and covered the ONE scratch I needed. Maybe two scratches, if I had another one; its so small!! TWSS

Its easy to miss that this is a very small tube of product. For this price you should get three tubes. The spreader is a nice touch, but the small square of sand paper will not be of much help.Glad I did not buy a large container to help save the planet and not waste, but this is hardly enough.The actual product works fine.

Yes the quantity is small, but for what it's intended for you really don't need that much. This is intended to be used on small chips and scratches as a filler, and for that purpose it works very well. Anything larger is going to require a larger amount of filler. I used it on a chip that had taken out a layer of paint, this filler did the job and sanded down easily ready for a touch up of paint. It is a little expensive but also convenient, you get an applicator and also some glass paper in the box.
