Product Description

The TOTO Drake II 1G Two-Piece Elongated 1.0 GPF Universal Height Toilet with CEFIONTECT is a beautifully designed high profile toilet. The Drake II 1G bowl and tank set includes a tank to bowl gasket, tank to bowl hardware, and toilet bolt caps.

The Drake II 1G features TOTO’s industry-leading 1G technology, offering a powerful flush that flushes completely and fully with only one gallon of water. The Drake II 1G features TOTO’s Tornado Flush™, a hole-free rim design with dual-nozzles that creates a centrifugal washing action that assists in rinsing the bowl more efficiently. This version of the Drake II 1G includes CEFIONTECT, a layer of exceptionally smooth glaze that prevents particles from adhering to the ceramic. This feature, coupled with Tornado Flush, assists to reduce the frequency of toilet cleanings, minimizing the use of water, harsh chemicals, and time required for cleaning.

The Drake II 1G is designed in TOTO’s Universal Height, which allows for a more comfortable seat position across a wide range of users. This version of the Drake II 1G has a left-hand chrome trip lever. The Drake II 1G is ADA compliant and meets the standards for EPA WaterSense, and California’s CEC and CALGreen requirements. Additional items needed for installation and use must be purchased separately: wax ring, toilet mounting bolts, water supply lines, and toilet seat.

This toilet was a huge waste of money. It can't even flush toilet paper.

This has not lived up to the hype and added cost. It just isn't worth what the consumer pays. The biggest problem is the finish as it relates to staying clean. The throat at the deepest part of the toilet is always, always discolored. We have softened water, don't clean with abrasive and yet it's discolored. I've shut the water off, drained the toilet and cleaned but had no luck, it remains discolored. I reached out via email, have a case # but have never heard from them. I have three additional toilets to replace and they won't be TOTO.

I was browsing toilets to replace our loud, poor flushing, 1.6 GPF Sterling (contractor) toilet from 1999 and was surprised that this Toto Drake is the exact one we purchased the toilet in 2015 when we installed our basement bathroom (Amazon pop up reminded us!). It's been 7 years and we have not had any issues with the toilet. It flushes very efficiently, and refills quickly and quietly. I forgot that it was a 1 GPF toilet. The only thing I would dock off (not because of manufacturing issue) is that we purchased a universal height toilet which is higher (17" or 18") than the standard 15" high toilet and it's too high for shorter people (kids and wife under 5" 1" )

Modern, minimalist design that works well in both traditional and modern style homes.Quiet, powerful flush, even for using only 1 gallon per flush. This is the third Toto commode I've installed. Over the years, I've installed Kohler, American Standard, Mansfield and Toto commodes. Kohler is by far, the most "install ready" out of the box. Toto requires a bit more work to prepare the tank for installation to the bowl (need to install the gaskets and bolts that hold the tank to the bowl whereas these are pre-installed with the Kohler). Apart from that, the smaller, lighter tank on the Drake II makes it easy to maneuver during installation. Two last warnings:1) Be ready for questions from your visitors...there's a mystique about Toto commodes (mostly from their high-end washlets) and they'll want to know all about it2) Be careful when you visit your friends with older commodes...the soft-close seats for these toilets are a double-edged sword: you'll love just tipping the seat and letting it close on its own...but do that at your friend's and you'll cause a loud crash!

Just like everyone else says,, it's a wonderful toilet. We bought the Toto toilet seat/lid and it is nice too.Update:I just finished installing my second CST454CUFG#1 Drake II. They are the best flushing toilets I have ever seen, even comparing them to the old high gallons per flush toilets of 5 decades ago. I replaced water saver toilets of the 90s, which were marginally ok. I see where another major brand is using the same flush system too. Toto gets my highest ratings.Getting the unit to my home unbroken was somewhat of a problem. The first tank was delivered by FedX and it was fine. Next day, UPS delivered the bowl and it was badly broken. No problem, Amazon had me another on the way the next morning, and had UPS come get the broken one. Then another tank arrived, but I wasn't home to refuse it, but UPS came to pick it up the next day. The following day, UPS brings me the second bowl, and the delivery guy tilted the box and we heard pieces tinkling. He opened it and it was also broken so I refused delivery. Spoke with Amazon about getting a bowl instead of a tank and bowl. They said they were ordering another and just refuse what I didn't need. The day after that, 2 tanks and 2 bowls arrived on the UPS truck. The first bowl we checked was good, so I refused the other 3 boxes. They probably need to sell the bowl and tank separately and just make sure when you order the bowl, you need part number #### for a complete fixture. But I am a happy camper and Amazon performed flawlessly.

1.5 months of use as main toilet in the house, and we are going to replace our secondary toilet with another of these when we redo the bathroom.Single flush is 1 Gallon but we have yet to need >1 flush, which is exactly what I hoped for. 1 Gallon flush means that this is better than a dual flush model and is in my opinion less likely to break. Flush is very quiet, startlingly so after our previous toilet.Bowl has remained clean much longer than our other toilet, and the toilet overall is very attractive. It does have more of a 1 piece look due to the close coupling, which I think looks great.I did a ton of research before picking this toilet and had to talk our plumber into it, and I'm glad I did. Using 0.6gpf less than our previous toilet (and 2gpf less than the secondary toilet we will replace soon!) is good environmentally and for our water bill as well.Update 3/21: Still working great. Never had to flush more than 1x, no issues of any kind so far. Second toilet just went in, replacing an old 2.5gpf toilet.Update 12/2016: Since posting this review I moved and first thing I did was replace existing toilets with two more of these. Perfect performance. And then I moved again :( I hate moving but I love these toilets! What was the first thing I did in my New New house? Replaced 2 more existing toilets with these toilets. So I have purchased and installed 6 of these so far in 3 different houses, and I still think they are awesome and have yet to have a problem with them
