This is a very simple, no muss, no fuss hot-pot/steamer/deep-fryer kitchen gadget, with two settings: hot and hotter. This does everything from simple soups and hotpots, to saute and deep frying, but the cleaning aspect is a bit of a challenge, as the cooking surface does not separate from the heating element. You can cook many dishes, but you would likely need to wipe the pot out with a damp paper towel to keep it clean vs actually washing this. I do like it, and I have used it quite a bit, but I also recognize what I can and cannot use this for. As an aside, i've seen a few videos of people using wooden utensils on this, and I would probably avoid anything that hard against the somewhat questionable durability of the non-stick coating. Stick with silicone utensils (a spatula is included that works) and avoid searing or burning anything in this and you should be fine.

If so desired, it can also used as a sauté pan, as a frying pan, or, with the proper accessory, even as a steamer. My better half prefers to use proper purposed pans. She particularly with not use this electric pot as a deep fryer with the wasted oil and clean-up involved. Not a slow cookerWithout temperature controls and a timer, this hot pot should not be used unattended, left to slow cook for hours or extended times.Party cookerAlthough this particular hot pot may not strictly have the required depth, width and operating specs, versions of Japanese tabletop cuisine such as sukiyaki, yakiniku, shabu shabu, oden, and winter nabe may be cooked and shared by a couple or a small gathering. The device has no simmer mode or temperature slide controls, so when the pot becomes too hot, it just needs to be turned off. Easy to clean but not dishwasher safeThe electric hot pot and glass lid is easy enough to hand wash. Care should be taken to ascertain that the device is unplugged. Because the pot isn't built separately from electric heating elements, it obviously cannot be cleaned in a dishwasher.Made sturdily enough and should last for years.

I got this for my grandma when she moved into an assisted living facility. It works well, both as a slow cooker, but also as a small stockpot. She has been able to cook soup and lots of other things in it, and completely loves it!

Wasn’t sure what to expect, getting a crock pot on Amazon. This one is much nicer than I had hoped. Well made, sturdy, easy to clean and heats evenly. Love it.

For $35, I'm happy with this little pot. I've paid more for skillets! It's easy to throw bacon and eggs in to cook breakfast for 2. Gets hot enough to cook most things you would cook on the stove and heats up fast. This would be ideal in a dorm room or in a breakroom at work where no stovetop is available. It can't be submerged for cleanup, but a lot of my appliances are the same. Fill with a little soapy water to wash and then rinse carefully. The nonstick has been good so far, but I haven't had it turned all the way up.

This item is perfect for anyone who wants the convenience of a crockpot, but doesn’t want to spend a lot of money. I’m super impressed with how quickly this warms up and the variety of settings that it has to help you prepare whatever dish you are working on. You do just wanna be a little careful cleaning it to not get any of the electric pieces wet. Overall, a really fantastic find especially for the price.

My family makes hotpot a couple times a year. This hot pot makes it a bit easier. Both heating options are pretty high and keep a boil going. The all plastic construction (except the interior cooking portion) keeps the cost down. Overall it performed very well and did a great job with our hotpot. Since the metal cooking area is not removable it makes cleanup a little more of a hassle since you cannot rinse it directly in water. You have to wipe it out.Overall for the price this works very well for hotpot.
