The kit contained everything I needed to easily replace or install new. The wire connection points are versital and the need for only two wires (and not the grund) made it even easier.

Dimmer switch came with excellent installation instructions (important for a 3-way circuit connection). Unit is modest in size, so there was no problem getting it into the wall box, even with some other wires and wire nuts already taking up some of the space. This unit has some nice programable options that you set at installation (or can be set afterwards) including setting the lowest minimum dim level (very nice feature if you are going to be keeping the lights on a low level in the evening), and turning off the orange LED panel-finder light. Also this unit can be jused as a single pole, or as I did, on a three-way, two-switch, kitchen circuit. Finally this unit can also be set at installation for incandecent, CFL or LED lightbulb (factory pre-set for LED, but easily switchable at time of installation). All the features of dimmer switches that cost twice as much. Very pleased with this purchase.

Pleased with the product. It was my first time to install a wall socket but it was a breeze with this product. I easily connected to it and saw my energy usage. Too bad that only the bottom socket has energy monitoring, it would have been nice if both socket has.

This review is more for home automation enthusiasts that prefer to do things the way they want, and not how manufacturer's want. This product works awesome when flashed with third party software such as Tasmota. This allows local control and no longer need to use the manufacturer's cloud service / app. This gives the huge advantage that you don't need to rely on the cloud/internet for the device to still work. I use this device with Tasmota and Home Assistant and allows me to easily integrate with my existing home automations.Great overall product!

I suggest you thoroughly test out each unit as soon as you get it. One way to do that is to use an old 3-prong cord with plug to attach directly to the terminals. Using such an apparatus you can plug it in near your wifi and confirm it all works before going through the trouble of installing it in outlet box.The device and the app work well... *if* the device works...DEFECTIVE UNITSOf the 6 units I've purchased, one was completely defective - couldn't be paired with wifi at all (the button that you use to pair with just did nothing - although it could turn the unit on and off).Another unit has a defective "on light", that is, when you use the button to locally turn on the outlet, it doesn't illuminate - but it works in all other respects. My experience is a 1 in 3 defect rate so far with units purchased 3 different times and that's why I have dropped it down to 3 stars.ADDITIONAL OBSERVATIONSThe light that illuminates when the powered outlet is on is quite dim. That's a good thing in my opinion, it means you can use it in a bedroom and not annoy with bright lights. Note that only one of the two outlets is controlled by wifi (the bottom one).It does make a not-subtle (but not loud) clicking sound when you turn it on or off... it might wake a light sleeper.I do wish that it also had external contacts for the switched section... so that I could, e.g. use it to turn on and off a ceiling fan on that circuit. I'd also like to see a unit that is a dimmable outlet, e.g. for string lights. It's not particularly hard to set it up to be controlled via Google Home or Amazon Alexa - which is good, otherwise hunting for the app to turn an outlet on and off would be quite the pain. In the app, however, you can set up a schedule.Curiously the controlled outlet is labeled "Smart Meter" - not sure why. I see no evidence that it actually has the ability to calculate and report the current load.EXAMPLE USES1. I have one of these outside (in a covered box) to turn on and off a fountain on a schedule.2. Another one is in my garage to turn off (and back on) the wifi router that covers the corner of my house. This one is a bit tricky because it can't be paired with the wifi it's controlling - and the whole reason the wifi is there is to extend coverage to the far side of my house. It would be better if there was an "inching" function that worked in reverse of the normal way... turn off for 1 second and then back on.3. Another controls plugs in our hutch and living room for seasonal decorations.4. I'm adding another to control the outdoor string lights... but it occurs to me that a wifi switch would be better because the string lights are dimmable.FINAL CONCLUSIONSI have a variety of different wifi controlled devices in my home... unfortunately that means a variety of additional apps so that each different manufacturer's device will work. That is quite a pain!I'd recommend these highly if they didn't have such a high defect rate because they do seem well made, and in my house, at least, have been quite reliable.

I've used other smart home automation devices before. None have matched the quality of the TopGreener products. I will always recommend using a qualified electrician for any electrical installations. But I can say that, installation is a breeze if you are handy. I was sceptical about the App, but the interface works Amazing! So many automation settings to play with. Zones, scenes, schedules, timers, the list goes on. Works great Google assistant! I'm lazy, SO this is Awesome! LolAnyway, I will be changing my entire home to the TopGreener products. They have got this down to a science and I for one, Love it. I will never have to leave the couch again! LOL

Very good product! Was straightforward to install. I will warn that the unit is fairly bulky so you don’t want to be installing this into a small electrical box, but other than that, I’d give this a top rating! It’s nice having a dedicated (always on) outlet combined with one that is controlled with the smart unit.

The first one I purchased was a breeze to connect to my wi-fi and has functioned flawlessly for several months. The second one I purchased just would not connect to my wi-fi and was returned. Obviously, defective and lead to concerns about quality control so I purchased the Tekin outlet and it connected immediately.

I bought the duplex outlet with Wi-Fi (no USB). When I was configuring it, I noticed the setup said it was "connecting to cloud". Because Im very paranoid about devices such as this creating "holes" in my network, and nobody seemingly able to give any answers regarding this, I did some digging. If I blocked this device from the Internet (as opposed to intranet or internal network), I could not control it from the app no matter what configuration I tried.Being one who doesnt like "big data" keeping an eye on me and having any access to my internal network I found this VERY disturbing! Even more disturbing is not even knowing where my data is going or who has ultimate control over my device. Based on this I want to give it 1 star for my application! However I know that not everyone will be as concerned about this as I am. It gets 3 stars because for those who dont care it is an easy and painless setup and can control from anywhere.UPDATE: Contacted Topgreener customer support to try to get some information about this. Their final reply is as follows: "You will have to reach out to the developer community. We do not provide such support and warranty is voided.". SO, apparently my warranty is voided because I asked questions about the software. Also there were no further reply's when I tried to followup on this email. Based on this experience, I downgraded my "rating" to one star from 3. BEWARE, as I understand the operation at this point, if whatever "cloud service" they are using goes under, you're stuck with an expensive normal power outlet (or you can seemingly opt to run it through Amazon or Google).
