So the good:1 - Nice size. Expandable and locks down well.2 - Fits nicely on my seat, I bit tricky getting on and off, but no big deal3 - It is water proof, IF you use the water proof bag that comes with it.The no so good:1 - Related to #3 above, If you want water proofiness then you have to load everything into the water proof bag that comes with it. This is fine except the bag takes a bit of space, so you have less storage. I am not convinced that this method offers anything above a well made welded pvc bag. Also, because of the bulkiest of the provided bag, I just used some water proof plastic bags.

I got my first one three years ago. The inside waterproof bag tore open on the side, not repairable the first time I used it. The outer bag is great! I like it so much I got a new one this past summer. The first one lasted two and a half years. It only has a 1 year warranty. After almost 3 years it finally broke a buckle on one side. I looked but couldn't find the exact same one . So I bought a new one and I only keep my tent in a anyway so it doesn't really need to be waterproof. 3.5 stars ✨

Easy to install on any bike. With the waterproof inner bag, riding in the rain is not a problem.Can be compressed if you do not need the full 15 l capacity. As long as you do not pack it with heavy stuff does not affect the bike handling.

Bag has been perfect. Holds a ton of stuff, the separate compression sack is a great design choice. Doesn’t sway or move once properly cinched down. I’ve only used it for short overnight trips thus far but I would absolutely trust it for longer outings. And it looks great.

Je reviens d'un 550 km sur route entièrement équipé avec la gamme Topeak. Le Backloader a bien fait le travail. Son design est efficace : le concept du « drybag » qu'on insère et retire rend son usage très convivial. J'ai subi une grosse averse, mais tout le contenu du sac est demeuré sec. Petite mise en garde, cependant : mieux vaut avoir un sac à l'avant pour équilibrer le poids sur le vélo. Je l'ai appris à mes dépens puisque mes rayons de roue arrière sont devenus très lâches et j'ai dû arrêter dans un magasin pour les faire ajuster, car le vélo était devenu inutilisable. J'ai un gros gabarit, mais je ne dépassais pourtant pas les limites des roues.Pour le retour, j'ai acheté un Frontloader 8L dans lequel j'ai inséré tous les objets lourds (ex. : accessoires de toilette et batterie externe) et cela a complètement transformé pour le mieux le comportement du vélo. Je n'avais plus que des vêtements à l'arrière. La valve pour enlever l'air du « drybag » est très utile pour la compression et facilite l'insertion de celui-ci dans le reste du Backloader. Mes deux seuls reproches sont que le sac tend à faire un bruit de frottement désagréable sur la tige de selle quand on roule, problème réglé par l'ajout d'un morceau de chambre à air à la tige. L'autre reproche est que forcément, le sac ballotte un peu lorsqu'on pédale debout sur le vélo, mais on peut s'y adapter en roulant. J'ai resserré à l'occasion les courroies sur le sac pour éviter ça. Au final, c'est un sac aérodynamique très logeable qui fait bien son travail, et ce, sans qu'il coûte les yeux de la tête. Il faut juste le remplir intelligemment (objets lourds au fond du sac, près de la tige). (vélo sur la photo = 62 cm).

Muy buena compra, las compramos (2) para hacer la Pirinexus 5 días con ellas y encantados, la capacidad es perfecta, la válvula para poder hacer el vacío va perfecta para compactar más la bolsa interna, bien atada al sillón y a la tija no se mueve ni cuando pedaleas de pies. Estamos muy felices con la compras. Calidad TOPEAK.

Great components! I felt the quality of this bag pulling it out of the box! Lots of roo., easy to mount.We had to return it because it didn't fit on out road bikes. (We have 700c tires and ride 51 cm frames, so we didn't have the clearance.)

I used this on a four day cycling trip in Florida. I carried all my clothes including some stuff in case of rain. I was just able to fit everything in so one needs to be strict about one’s packing list. The bag mounts well with plenty of wheel clearance but is prone to wobbling, especially when you get out of the saddle. All in all, given the price, I think it is a pretty good bag.
