I originally purchased a variety of different bags and racks that were incompatable (at the Specialized retail rep, who was not knowledgeable). Anyway, the MIK system is very nicely designed (when you figure it out). Just be careful when purchasing an adapter (there are two...one to make the rack compatable with an adapter plate (different than the rack adapter). I made several purchases of adapters and bags to make this work, but this is all due to the incorrect advice I got from the sales rep. When I finally got the right combination, this bag (and the corresponding correct adapter) worked very nicely. The construction seems very solid (I just got it), it is from a reputable company and the storage space is much more than you would imagine in such a small looking bag due to an expandable top compartment and panniers that fold out from the sides (which I also use as regular side pockets...which is not really intended...but it works). This is a great bag, but be VERY AWARE that you have the right hardware to mount it correctly. You must have 1) a MIK compatable rack (or rack adapter installed to an existing rack) and 2) a bag that has the correct corresponding plate for mounting or purchase it independently when the manufacturer says it is not installed. There is not much information in the instructions or even on online videos that truly make you understand what's going on with this system, so make sure you are well-educated before purchasing. For this particular bag, all you need is a rack that is compatable with the MIK system or a MIK adapter plate for the rack that will make it work. Hope this helps.

I was not expecting to love this bag as much as I do.First off if you don't have a MIK system it's super easy to add with their MIK Carrier Plate. Once it's on it's very sturdy, but it still has a typical Velcro straps if you want to double secure the bag.For the actual bag itself, the main compartment is perfect for big things and even without expanding it, it can store surprisingly a lot of stuff. The real magic though are the two side compartments. Which I assumed to be small flat space, but it fact it's a expandable storage that end up looking more like a saddle bag/pannier. It's pretty spacious one at that too and while I wouldn't store anything heavy as it's pretty thin pvc bag (think those expensive reusable plastic bags) it's more than enough to store change of clothes.Honestly if you have a rack that is MIK ready one of these are absolutely no brainers. Super easily clips on and taking them off is just as great. It also came with some shoulder strap so it turns into a small bag on the go.

Like it much more than the Bontrager bag my wife has. The panniers are much more substantial. Like the blue liner color and I think the white piping on the sides is reflective at night. Love that the bag expands for more storage. Feels well made and easy to mount on the MIK rack. Only downside is there was no local stock available - it shipped from the Netherlands and took a couple of weeks to arrive.

I truly need to thank the person who left a review stating that the only way he could attach this bike trunk was by opening it and then pushing it down into place! After several attempts I was about to throw in the towel on this purchase, and I even searched You Tube and the Basil product site for tips, to no avail. Otherwise, I now like the fact that I have a back bike trunk for running small errands to the library and such, and don't have to ride with a backpack as I have been doing since I got my e bike. I don't know if all makes of this particular Basil bike trunk snap into place as peculiarly as this one does, but if so, it is definitely way overpriced for what it is. I have a different slide on system for my hybrid bike, and I have SO LOVED that trunk. Clearly, I was hoping for an equally great product, but this is just an okay product I can "make do."

This is a great bag, and the MIK system is perfect for people who might want to swap in a basket for light shopping. The bag is very sturdy and has plenty of compartments, including a pouch on the top that perfectly fits my Kryptonite U-lock. One less storage problem.Bite the bullet and pay for an excellent product. You'll be glad.

Our new e-bikes came fitted with a MIK compatible rear rack which means that any MIK compatible bag just clicks firmly into place and is easily removable with a key. This bag from Basil is of a very high quality and very versatile. The bag clicks firmly into place on the rear rack, (although it may need pressing down from the inside), and is easily removable with the key and there are D-rings for attaching a supplied shoulder strap. The top of the bag has a pouch and there’s also a mesh pouch on the back. The main storage section can be expanded with a zippered section and the two side section unzip to reveal zippered pannier bags. The bag has proven to be waterproof and there are reflective details on the sides. It looks smart and complements the bicycle and I like it.
