I have to say that I've been using this to record video game footage from my Xbox to it directly without a hitch. It can be used via USB or USB-C for connectivity to differing interfaces. The design is simple enough to slide the bottom off, put the thermal pad and heatsink on it, just push the rubber stopper in and you're ready to go. No screws, no hassle, plug and play. It's highly portable so you can take it anywhere with you and it works very well. It does not get hot either even recording 1 hour gameplay segments and then editing and rendering video directly from / to it. Speed wise, that will depend on the type of NVMe you use whether it's gen3 or gen 4.

Placed an nvme hard drive in this after upgrading my old laptop drive. Works and performs very well and assembly is a breeze no need for tools just your fingers. Recommended buy.

Solid Aluminum case.Includes a rubber plug (screw) for easy access to your ssd when programming.Only con- it was my 1st timer at ssd enclosure data transfer. I had a hell of a time trying to figure out how to open it. No instructions for that! That direction arrow on bottom needs to be bigger!

Works like it should. I installed a 512GB M.2 in it and it's worked great so far. It is compatible with most m.2 drives.

I was looking for an enclosure for a bunch of spare ssds that I had lying around.This is a toolless enclosure and they provide all the necessary hardware and thermal pad and heatsinks as well. It was ready to be used in probably 5 minutes.I plugged it into a windows 10, windows 11 and steam os and they were all plug and play, not additional drivers required.I didnt run any benchmark tests to see if the enclosure had any bottlenecks, but looked good enough on my file transfers (will update)

this thing bricked two separate power supplies, have had it for a bit and it seems it has reached the end of its life because after replacing a failed power supply, things were running fine until i plugged this in and it instantly shut off, not turning on again. do not buy

Das Gehäuse versprach werkzeuglose Installation, was für mich ein wichtiger Faktor war, da ich keine Lust auf komplizierte Montage hatte.Das Gehäuse erfüllte meine Erwartungen in Bezug auf die Werkzeuglosigkeit vollständig. Die Installation meiner NVMe SSD war ein Kinderspiel. Die Qualität des Gehäuses selbst ist solide und scheint gut verarbeitet zu sein. Es gibt keine lose Passform oder wackelige Teile, was ein Zeichen dafür ist, dass es ordentlich konstruiert wurde.Ein weiterer Pluspunkt ist die Authentizität der Produktbilder. Das Gehäuse sieht genauso aus wie auf den Bildern beworben. Dies ist wichtig, da es oft vorkommt, dass Produkte in der Realität nicht den Bildern entsprechen, die online gezeigt werden.Was die Leistung betrifft, so kann ich bisher keine Probleme feststellen. Meine NVMe SSD wird effizient gekühlt und ich habe keine Geschwindigkeitseinbußen bemerkt.Ein Punkt, den ich erwähnen möchte, ist, dass es bereits genügend Bilder des Produkts online gibt. I got the enclosure to install a 2 TB drive in my Microsoft Surface Pro 9. I installed the drive, plugged it into my device, cloned the installed drive onto the external drive. Then I exchanged both SSDs and the Surface booted up without a problem. The transfer speed was great, the 256 GB transferred in no time.It generally worked well, but the little spacer that holds the drive in place is very flimsy. It works fine when using it just at my desk but I would not trust it to hold the drive in place when carrying it around as a portable drive in my laptop bag or backpack. Since the spacer doesn't attach to the enclosure, I am also worried about losing it and then nothing would hold it in place. Tool-free is all nice and good, but it also needs to be solid.
