Your cart is empty.Provides information not available with OBD II code reading devices - pinpoints if there is a spark plug, plug wire, mechanical, fuel injection or electrical problem. Shows a duplicate view of the ignition spark so technician can visually check condition of ignition system at each cylinder. Use for testing newer vehicles with recessed spark plugs and conventional and coil-on plug ignition systems.

Very nice. Works great especially fitting in cylinders where the plug is pretty deep. Would definitely buy again

As a vehicle technician helps eliminate and issue of having spark immediately without swapping coils and wires around. Takes seconds to install (most cars, higher end cars takes longer not a design flaw of this product) cheap and does the job, you don't need an over priced snap on one (over $100.00 USD easily)

As far as online spark test kits go this one is superior. I'm a professional automotive technician and I've used some of the Lisle brand ones but none ever have the booty for coil on plug style ignition setups. Even the SnapOn tools one is junk by comparison. Worth every penny.

Very handy for using timing light on coil over application...note, quality is marginal but fine for occasional use being very careful should last for awhile.

Was trying to diagnose why my 1995 Maxima was missing at idle and bucking under load. I got a P1320 code which indicates the ignition circuit. Replaced crank sensors and ignition condenser, which did not solve the issue. So I bought this kit to see if it could identify the problem. The instructions were a little weak, but here's the sequence I followed:1. Disconnect the electrical connector from the coil.2. Unscrew and pull out the coil from the cylinder.3. Insert the skinny end of the orange tube onto the recessed spark plug.4. Insert the test light end into the removed coil.5. Insert the orange plug with brass connector into the finned end of the tube.6. Reconnect the electrical connector to the coil which will just lay on top.7. Start the engine and see if there's a consistent pulsing orange spark.8. Replace coil and then test them all the same way one-by-one.On mine, the results became apparent as soon as I tested #5, which was only putting out a barely noticeable spark. Replacing that coil with a new one solved the problem immediately. So for $20.00 this kit was a good investment.

Worked perfectly on my Mercedes. I had a bad coil that was causing misfires, according to my diagnostic app called HobDrive. Since I didn't know how to determine which of the 3 coils was the right one I figured this tool would help me figure it out. When I got it I noticed it is such a simple yet well designed tool. One thing I found a bit strange is that they shipped it in its box and just put the shipping label on it. At least everything was still in there when I got it so it's fine. When I used this I only used the Extension for Coil Tester and Coil Tester since my car has recessed spark plugs. I connected it inline to each spark plug and started the engine each time. I found that the light was bright on 4 and dim on 2, which where connected to the same coil! I replaced the coil and the replacement coil lit the bulb bright like the other coils where. My app then showed zero misfires and the car now runs smoothly again. I'm not sure if this tool will tell you wether the spark plugs themselves are bad. I imagine the light will only flash if the spark plug is good so I didn't bother messing with them. I might buy a plug tester one day if not soon. This saved me an expensive charge had I taken it to a mechanic to diagnose.
