I live in the northern states where the water is hard. I have severe trouble keeping a filter to last more than a month and that’s with using humidifier water treatment as well. I have ran a humidifier in my home for over 20 years and the replacement filters kept getting more expensive and more ridiculous as far as life expectancy. Org replacement filter claims to last three months. But…where I live m, I am lucky to get 30 days from a filter. 6 gallons of water per 24hr, distilled water is too expensive. This filter here, I gave a whirl as I have tried others and returned- So I am super impressed. I’m on my first filter of the season, and it’s holding up nicely. I take my filters out and rinse them with hot water and run some vinegar over them to soak and rinse. I also dismantled the humidifier and clean it out with peroxide and soap x2/month. Upon filling, I use 1T combo water treatment per gallon of water. Super pleased U found this filter

I obviously haven't tried the humidifier filter. All I have done so far is put it in the Air Care Humidifier to be sure it fits. It does. I won't know how it stands up or works until winter when a humidifier is needed.

Replacing my Essick Air Aircare filter was easier than deciding what to binge-watch next! This replacement fits perfectly, and my humidifier is back to working like a dream. The air in my home is now as fresh as a daisy, or at least a really hydrated daisy. It’s like my humidifier got a spa day. Sure, it’s a bit pricier than I’d like, but breathing easy is worth every penny. Plus, now my plants are looking at me like I’m a hydration hero. Humidifier happy, plants happy, me happy!

There are several options in the type of filter required for a particular so you need to make sure you select the correct one which this is for mine.

I order two at a time to reduce shipping time and always have an extra to start the next season with. They are high quality, durable, don't fall apart like others. I will keep buying them.
