Bait stations loaded with TomCat's baits with were pushed to new locations each night--so feverently did the rats love the TomCat baits! Other manufacturers' baits weren't devoured as much. Excellent value of baits and station combination. When compared to other manufacturers' larger 4 bait stations with two entry holes, and using same TomCat bait:Rats preferred the 4 bait stations. The 4 bait stations look more durable.TomCat 2 bait stations advantages include:Half the price of 4 bait stations.Window for quickly seeing amount of bait remaining.More compact-- for easier indoor and attic transport uses.

I’m just not sure these bait traps did anything. I do see a little of the bait gone but still lots of evidence of activity. Had to resort to the old fashion wooden traps.

This product is sold at a good price but I returned it snd bought the ones by this same brand that I can replenish the mouse/rat bait. It’s a little light weight but I don’t think that should affect its functionality.

Unfortunately due to construction and updating of a water treatment plant very close to my backyard, and living near Lake Erie shoreline, I had a long period of a major mouse infestation, then sickenly a pair of rats mated in my basement which was appalling. For the Mich I tried several types of traditional wood and metal spring mouse traps with hit or miss success. Decided to try these traps and they're awesome. Rapid success. So when found a couple rats had gotten in graduated to the large rat traps and highly recommend them. The rat family was gone in a matter of a couple of weeks. Strongly recommend this product.

05/20/24: These work well but the packing, or lack thereof, make them a hazard to everyone who handles them from the warehouse all the way to the delivery folks, no matter who delivers. I had been getting them in closed bottom, Amazon paper envelopes which helped somewhat with the hazard, but still a danger. TomCat NEEDS to sell the bait stations sealed in plastic so that there's a chance they will reach the consumer without endangering everyone who handles them along the way. Got mine today shipped in a box with paper padding. Oh yeah, that helped. Delivered by the Post Office and the grains of bait were everywhere in the box and on the paper. Unavoidable and I'll bet if the Post Office knew that they were transporting hazardous bait they would refuse to deal with the deliveries at all. I've yet to get a box delivered by the Post Office that wasn't beat to death. Because of this I have changed my rating to one star.I always immediately place the bait stations I receive into ziploc freezer gallon bags. They're the sturdiest and the zippers don't fail. Not feeling well today so I grabbed some trash bags to put them in until I'm up to dealing with them again. The point is, put them in something to keep them fresh as soon as possible. I usually change mine out before the bait is fully gone because I hear the activity ramp up and I know a bunch will be here if I don't.04/25/24: Just get these! Yes, they really work and I'm so thankful! Because I live rural-adjacent and I'm surrounded by fields to my back, the critters want in the house to do their dirty and have their young. It wasn't too bad until Covid hit and a lot of folks moved away. No more food for the vermin population via their trash and so they keep searching until they reach here. Love this bait so much. I can hear them eating the blocks and then they leave and it gets quiet. Every once in a while I can slightly smell the decay but not bad. This tells me they're carrying some in their mouth elsewhere to share and this is exactly what I want. Buh bye rats and mice!03/05/24: Bought these in Feb. but just placed them a couple of days ago. Had a lot of activity beforehand that my previous bait wasn't handling. Now there's no evidence. I haven't checked the bait yet but the noise has dropped totally which means the vermin in the walls, sub-flooring, attic, are dead for now. I will keep buying. For those looking at these to buy, the price is high but the bait size is huge and it's well configured inside the trap to keep them from stealing it so that have to eat enough to definitely die and then carry any left in their mouths back to the nests. Impressive design. Had to buy these due to WA State shipping laws. Might be able to get something cheaper but also more dangerous locally but I'm disabled so must ship in.WEAR GLOVES when opening product box and placing bait box as they are both covered with bait bits and dust. KEEP AWAY FROM CHILDREN AND PETS.This review will be updated if necessary.
