I am fostering a litter of under-socialized kittens that I trapped and took to our shelter. They were living in a drainage pipe in a retention pond in front of a parking lot! As a shelter volunteer, I saw these "feral dens" being used in the kennels for the cats and for transport. The cats use them because they feel safe inside. The dens are secure, hold the animal securely, and are more compact to transport as opposed to a carrier. My kittens use them as I work with them and do socialization activities with them. They are making progress but they know their little cubby den is there too if they need to retreat. I was pleased to find the Tomahawk brand on Amazon and I bought two. Very pleased with this purchase.
