Bought 2 to replace original push buttons that lasted about 5 years before starting to look worn. Initially liked these, but after about a year we noticed green residue on both toilet buttons when we would wipe the toilet lid/buttons during cleaning. After 2 years, these pics are what they look like before/after wiping off. The "chrome" finish is corroding. After reading a number of reviews online for similar plastic products with finishes, our understanding is it's most likely due to chlorine off-gassing from using chlorine tabs in the toilet tank. Don't know why our original buttons lasted 5 years and these only 2 though. We searched for metal (stainless steel, etc.) alternatives to the plastic buttons, but had no luck. So just know that, whether this brand or others made from plastic, the metallic finish will likely corrode within a year or so if you use chlorine tabs in the tank. We haven't used harsh cleaners on the buttons directly, primarily just wipe them with Windex and a paper towel after cleaning the mirrors. Occasionally used a Chlorox wipe after cleaning the counters. Trying another brand this time to see if same results.

Product was delivered as advertised and was easy to install after I figured out how to cut the plastic rods. As others have noted, scissors do not work to cut down the plastic rods. My wife saw me struggling and suggested I use wire cutters. They worked like a charm. Enjoy.
