I've installed or reinstalled hundreds of toilets. I've used every imaginable flange and wax seal. There are a few things I look for in a flange:1. Durability. Nothing worse than putting in a wimpy flange and then have it warp when the hold-down screws are tightened. This flange is thick enough to hold up.2. Wax seal. I don't know why big-box stores even bother to sell "standard" seals rather than the extra thick ones. The wax seal in this kit is tall enough to handle any irregularities.3. Hold down bolts. This kit has wimpy hold-downs. I prefer something a little beefier. These would do in a pinch, or if the stool is sitting perfectly flat on a hard surface.The flange comes with a rubber sleeve, presumably to direct the wastewater down far enough to clear the flange. However, the wax seal also has a plastic cone. So, I might just cut off the sleeve from the flange, something about it makes me worry about what might happen if the stool is ever augured. It's not really necessary.This kit includes new white, plastic caps for the hold-down bolts, that's very handy.I give this kit 5 stars because it includes nearly everything you'd need to reinstall a toilet in any situation. I'm picky about certain things but only because I've done these so many times. Most people will be very happy with this kit.

This is a good all-in-one kit that includes all the parts you need to fix a leaking toilet seal. This makes it easier for those who might be replacing them for the first time. That said while the directions that come with the set are good, I'd recommend watching a YouTube video or two if this is new to you.I ordered this because I've been noticing sewer smells, and the toilet had a bit of a wiggle. The toilet now sits completely flush against the floor and there are no more unexpected smells. These are the kind of DIY projects I love, and this kit made everything easier.

This toilet flange kit is a essential piece to install when removing a old toilet and putting a new one in. Changing this out will save you trouble in the future and give you piece of mind. They include a solid wax ring to replace the old, damaged ring. The flange is pliable rubber. This part fits on most standard toilet hole opening on the floor. Once installed ... the toilet did not leak from the bottom.
