I bought this tofu press because the one I had (a different brand) quit working. I'm actually glad that happened because this one is so much better. It presses the tofu way better than my other one did. All of the water is drained away from the tofu. This isn't like some presses that have holes at the top where you pour the water out. The lid also securely snaps shut on all 4 sides. It comes with directions for use but the directions don't include washing instructions. I had to come back to the Amazon listing and scour the information to find out if it is safe to use in the dishwasher. To save you that trouble, it is dishwasher safe and it washes up well. My only tiny complaint about this tofu press is the size. I wish it was just slightly bigger. It perfectly fits a block of tofu but there isn't much room to take the tofu out when you are ready to use it.

I absolutely love this tofu press and it has become an essential tool in my kitchen. I've owned it for just about over a year now and use it weekly. It's really easy to use and drains a lot of the water out of tofu.I recently had an issue with the clip that held the spring in place and I haven't been able to use it lately. I emailed Tofudee's customer service and they were really great at responding promptly. I sent them a video of the problem, they were so kind and sent me a replacement part!I highly recommend this product and I am super appreciative of the Tofudee team for their help.

Absolutely love this press!Convenient and easy to use and clean.I have never used one and searched for years to find a good one. Well I think it was worth the wait. I’m obsessed with the freezing then pressing method and it makes for the best tofu deli slices.

After years of pressing tofu the olde fashioned way, I decided to upgrade to a purpose-built tofu press. It is amazingly effective, and a great time-saver. Easy to clean, too. Highly recommend.

Simple design, easy to use, works as promised. Dishwasher safe! Have used it on two types of tofu. One was for tofu jerky so needed it pressed in refrigerator over night. Facilitated a good absorbing of marinade. For the extra firm, it removed enough water to mare for a good crispy cube for stir fry.

So far I've used it for tofu pressing, does a great job with 1-2 extra firm tofu blocks. I'm looking forward to trying to make my own tofu & paneer soon.

For too many years, I've been awkwardly stacking plates and cans of tomatoes atop tofu to press water out. So annoying. I finally bought this press after having it on my list for years. I wish I bought this years ago! It works perfectly, pressing water out without breaking tofu. What held me from buying this for so long, I thought it would be another thing taking up space, but it's quite small and fits in a drawer and fits in fridge without taking up too much space as well. If you cook with a lot of tofu, just get this cute device and stop stacking rando stuff on your tofu!

I've had this tofu press for a few years now and it still works very well! I picked this press over others due to its design; it's extremely easy to use and clean. I am a vegetarian and eat tofu almost daily, so I use this press pretty frequently. It has held up very well over the years of me using it. It's been a great investment! I will say there are a couple small quirks to be aware of with this press:1. The lid comes apart from the presser for easy cleaning. When you put it back together, you need to make sure the lid is as untwisted as it can be and then align the presser piece with the lid in order to press tofu. I would recommend starting at the lowest level of press and working your way up slowly. You can always press more water out of your tofu, but you can't put it back in.2. Since the pressing is done by a spring in the lid, you need to make sure the lid is on completely before twisting. If the lid is not all the way sealed, it may spring off in an exciting (yet slightly dangerous) way during your cooking!3. I have run all pieces of the press through the dishwasher many times and the press is still usable. However, the spring that powers the pressing is metal and I think it could rust over time. I also attempted to take the lid itself apart once to clean it thoroughly, and it was difficult to get back together and the lid still clicks weird from time to time.I hope this was helpful!

Update 6/27/24: I’ve now had this almost a year and a half and I still love it. No issues with anything breaking or loosening over time, and I use it several times a month. One of my favorite purchases from Amazon of all time.Original Feb 2023: I’m not gonna lie; I always thought tofu presses were a waste of space and money. I can just use towels and sheet pans and something heavy, right? Sure, I cooould, but time after time, I’d buy tofu and then not feel like taking the time to get all the stuff together a few hours before dinner, so I’d end up throwing out the tofu and kicking myself for wasting food and money. So one night, when my impulse control was low, I saw this and decided to try it. Well I’ll be darned if I don’t absolutely love it! I can just take the tofu, pour off the liquid in the container, pop it in, tighten it, and forget it. I have never had such dense, crispy tofu before! I can’t believe how much liquid presses out and how quick and easy it is to get it that way. Marinades soak in so stinking well, because the tofu is a total flavor sponge. And the whole thing is dishwasher-safe although the very top part doesn’t really need to be washed every time since you can pop off the part that touches food.I can’t even fully explain why but I find it very charming that it presses the name into the tofu and I love the color. I love how securely it snaps into place and how easy it is to use.And in case you’re wondering, I paid full price, I don’t get anything for writing this, and my only incentive is that I think it’s a cool and super useful product for lazy people like me and hope to help others make a smart purchase and support a small business.

I really love my Tofudee press. It works while you are preparing other things in the kitchen and it keeps your soft tofu from breaking. I highly recommend this product! You have to follow the instructions and allow the press to do its thing! Very happy with my purchase!

I'm Indian and I used Tofudee to mold a slab of homemade paneer. Initially, I was skeptical because after 20 mins of molding the paneer was still crumbly. So I left the paneer in mold overnight and the result was perfect! The paneer in the photos is made from 1 lt milk. Hopefully, the result will be better for 2 lt milk.
