I have used only one, but it does what a diode ought to do! Great value too. I have it on the excitation lead on a farm tractor alternator - lots of vibration and heat, and so far 100%!

Worked great at replacing a 30 year old diode that decided to leave by smoke.

Oh I purchased them them and stored them. I got to test them with a regular meter and they checked out ok. I have been working on an energy harvesting design of mine and used two of them I am working with very very low amounts of energy pulsed to a higher voltage ad then "rectified" before stored on a rechargable battery. All the components have tested ok but I had trouble charging the battery. The energe was being produced and it actually got to the battery and was charging it but at the end of the day the battery had lower charge than expected and then dead overnight. I tested a different battery with the same result. I put the whole thing in the Oscilloscope and I clearly see the pulse of energy reaching the battery but I was not getting anywhere. then I increased the signal to one amp and put the thermal imager on the cuircuit when I noticed the Diodes were getting warm. hmmm I pulled them both off and tested them again and checked out OK but I know they should not be getting warm with just one amp. I tested their resistance and with two meters and it was all over the place. I mean their resistance was changing rapidly up and down. Then I realised why the batteries were not holding the charge! Reversr voltage leakage. I replaced the batteries with a capacitor to see a quicker response and tested again. The pulse of energy charges the Capacitor and inmediatelly begins to discharge. I replaced these rectifiers with two used ones from a previous project, they were just laying around and Bingo Problem solved. I tested other rectifiers from this same batch and they too have a reverse leakage. Moral of he story? they are useless for my project. I have no idea how hot would they get if I pushe 5 amps or ore through them either but being to low in price I dont think I will complain much. I got what I paid for. I guess they could be used for a power supply but then again they would probably waste a lot of energy while its turned on. Dont assume these are good if the meter said they are ok, check the reverse leak and under load to see if they will hold up to the claim. thank you
