For the money its a decent buy. It does the job. Its plenty strong enough to hold a 32ft ladder at 90mph. Its beefier than it looks in the pictures.Cons: If you plan to fasten it, they short you 4 bolts. If matching bolts are important you will need to buy 12 sets. The paint is faded already and its only be 45 days, Its rusting in the joints. I should have painted it before installing it. I did want it to look good. I made a stop on the ends in case the straps slacken. It should have this already. Its keep the ladders from sliding off side if the ropes slacken.Otherwise it will do job it. Its a great starting point for $150

I bought this rack to mount those “U” shaped kayak racks on.It was a very easy install but you have to drill holes through the top of the bed of your truck… which I was very scared of doing. I knew this ahead of time with my research but I wouldn’t trust those “no drilling necessary” ladder racks for hauling anything down the highway. As you can see by the pics, this works great for what I’m using it for. I carry three kayaks on the rack and have never exceeded that weight… although, I have knocked the crap out of the rack with my head once. So it does withstand a pounding with my big noggin !

I have a carry on trailer made with two inch square tubing. I mounted the TMS 800 lbs ladder racks to the frame of trailer. Picture shows my Roof Top Tent installed on the laser racks. Camping gear in trailer. When done I store my tent and trailer goes back to a work trailer. Very pleased with the ladder rack. They are strong and made very well. Will out last me probably. Well worth the money

After pricing several different racks this one seemed to be the best for what I planned to use it for, which is carrying kayaks. I can fit two on the rack, leaving the bed of my pickup open for other stuff. I do recommend using some sort of padding to keep things from moving around up there (I used foam pipe insulation commonly used on plumbing pipes or hvac refrigerant lines which you can find in most hardware stores) I did find that water seems to find its way into the inside of the tubing and rust stains appeared at the bases of the rack stands in a very short time. I plan on remedying this by removing the mounting bolts and just using camper shell clamps so the racks can be easily removed when not in use. They are very sturdy though, and I highly recommend these for anyone on a budget.

I looked at several similar units, all more expensive. This pair of racks arrived quickly, well packaged, and easy to install. It took about 30 minutes at the most to have them on and loaded.I bought a set of 4 clamps to hold them on, but they were NOT a good buy.I will probably bolt them on semi-permanently but for now I replaced the expensive "special" clamps with some C-clamps I bought at Lowes. They work just fine.

Paradise life here in Hawaii. If you do surfing, SUP, Foil, whatever big equipment is needed, you need rack for boards. I had being seeking lowest price in local stores and shops. I could only find famous brand name hi-priced surfboard racks which price runs like 750-1200 buck. Finally, I found this rack on Amazon. Price is under $200. Manufacturer rated 800 lbs max load, but even I load up all boards, it will be less than 250 lbs. Construction is very solid. Good finishing on welded part. I use mounting clamp that you have to purchase separately. You can even use C clamp sold at cheap tool store (e.g. Harbor Freight or Walmart). I am very satisfied with this rack system.

I put this ladder rack on my utility trailer it works great I was a little skeptical about how I was going to put the ATV on the trailer but after seeing the set screws that hold part of ladder rack together I realized that I could just loosen the set screws up and separate the ladder rack great idea haven't really tried it out yet what's definitely * t with highly recommended. PS the both say they're 3/8 but they're a tad bigger which makes me think that there metric so you may want to get at least a half inch drill bit

First off I didn’t even receive the same style rack that was advertised (shown in the pictures). And the package arrived pretty much destroyed and opened. The racks were also pretty scratched up even though they were plastic wrapped. It was almost like this thing had been used already, and very well could’ve been. None of that is really a big deal to me since I didn’t pay that much for it, I also don’t feel like dealing with the return process. These first problems don’t really negate the fact that this is actually a solid purchase. Just know that you’re getting what you pay for here (It’s definitely not Yakima or Thule). I just needed something simple to haul my 12 foot kayak on the weekends, and so far it’s able to do just that.I ordered 8 clamps instead of drilling holes in the bed because I wanted to be able to remove this thing in a pinch. And so far that was a good call because it holds very well. Getting the entire thing installed only took me about 30 minutes. I kept my toolbox on which made the racks a little narrow to transport the kayak but it still worked.I saw some reviews about these things rusting so I took a preemptive measure and painted them with black Rustoleum Bed-liner paint (the same stuff I painted my bed with) it matches my truck better so that’s a plus.
