The instructions are not very clear so I intuitively figured out how to install them. The first two snaps I tried didn't work because the tool to pound the item in also expanded the collar so that the snap did not hold. After the third one, things worked better.

I got these to secure some tote bags. They are hard to hammer together because they they slide all around the anvil. The tools you use to secure the snaps in don’t seem to fit. Overall just not good quality. You’re better off looking for something else.

Slight touch makes the snaps undo. Very delicate metal. Great price, low profile, small snap vs the big ones, nice looking.. that stuff I like. Maybe I'm doing something wrong. I hate to leave bad reviews. But looking for something a little stronger.

I used these button snaps to finish off a decor project for an interchangeable garland. I made some autumn leaves out of faux leather. I considered using simple velcro as fasteners. But I'm glad I took a leap and bought these snaps instead. They really add a classy finish to my project, and I think the leaves turned out super cute! Now that I know how to use the snaps, I find it is very easy to add them to a project. There were no instructions within the package, although there are instructions posted on this product listing. However; I didn't find the online instructions super clear. So I decided to write out my own. I labeled all of the bags A, B, C, and D and made reference to those letters in my instructions.Their online instructions show placing one of the pieces on the pointy side of the base. That confused me, as no piece fits properly onto that pointy piece. Perhaps that is meant for larger snaps. These smaller ones do not engage with the pointy piece. I was only able to use the smooth, concave side of the base. But that does seem like it works fine for both sides of the snap, so no big deal. I just found that particular photo confusing.
