I wanted to add a removable rug to my boat that wouldn't take to the air at speed. The rug is a 24x48 non-slip model made for home kitchen use. As such, it has a "rubber" coating on the back and a low weave on the front. The idea was to mount snaps on the four corners and in the middle of the long sides, then screw in the other ends to the carpeted wood sole (floor).Installation was a 'snap'! They are long enough to get through the weave and the rubber backing, and appear to on solidly. The opposing posts screw in well and feel solidly mounted. They also blend in with minimal visual distraction. Connection of the rug to the posts is somewhat flimsy. It does not feel as sturdy or secure as the rest of the canvass on the boat.First time out, the rug held, even at speed. Second time, held just as well. People have now walked on the rug and it hasn't budged. If it continues to held, this set is worth 5 stars. The kit includes 50 sets of fasteners, a punch, and a die that protects the snap on installation. A great-looking kit that I hope continues to hold well.

These are okay at best. Yes they replace broken snaps but the metal they are made out of is thin so when you go to uncover or unsnap you end up breaking it again. Needs to be a lil stronger metal in my opinion

I have a much bigger kit but ran out of 3/8inch snaps, so I bought this kit instead of just buying a bag of snaps. This little kit is really handy to have on the boat and I love it's simplicity. It really works great event without the crunch power of a great big set of Vice Grips. The Vice Grips and punch set is still my go to fix it mode when I do a seasonal work over on my boat, but this kit works very well for fixing an on-the-spot repair

I was looking for snaps which were somewhat more heavy duty. That being said I was able to use these by reducing the spacing between snaps. This worked out pretty well, but was a lot more work (90 snaps total on this project). Did have some issues with the crimping of the snap studs (the male portion was too short)

We installed snaps on heavy curtain fabric that was hanging in tall entryway so the outer edges of the curtains could be fastened to the wall to keep them from blowing upward. The product information made it unclear as to whether there would be a hand tool/pliers included for punching the fabric and installing the snaps. Turns out there was no hand tool. Instead, there was a metal Awl and a metal disc that would've worked well on leather or vinyl, so we punched holes in the fabric using a nail, which worked well. The head of the snaps installed easily using the Awl and the metal disc. I screwed the other side of the snaps into the drywall using Mollies to secure them. It all turned out nicely and I would recommend this product.

I thought I was going to have to spend a lot of money buying a new canvas boat cover or have someone repair it for me. I didn't know it could be so easy. This kit is perfect for replacing the snaps on my canvas boat cover. The instructions given, along with the tools provided in the kit, worked perfectly. I was worried, though, that the snaps would be weaker than the originals on my cover and not last beyond one or two pulls. WRONG....they have lasted through dozens of un-coverings and not one has come apart. Couldn't be more pleased with every aspect of this purchase.

I used the screw in heads for a green house topper project. The screw heads went in easily. I did do a small pilot hole, so they wouldnât wander or crack the wood. I put them into primed and painted wood. These snaps are sturdy, and they hold well. I used them in a fairly heavy weight vinyl, and it held very well. I doubled the vinyl over on the edges, to give it a little bit of extra thickness. We had a pretty decent windstorm, and none of them came un-snapped. I purchased one set to do the first greenhouse topper, and then I re-ordered the same for the second one, so you know that they worked well. I would certainly purchase them again, if I have another project that demands this type of snap attachment.I also like the fact that it comes in its own case. It makes it a lot easier to find what youâre looking for, and move your project along, and also for storage of any leftover pieces.

Not having installed snaps previously, there was a small learning curve. Then it was very simple. The snaps work great.

This was a great product for the money. Could have done with a few more pieces in case of installation error, but that is the only negative. Works well!
