I've tried long 3/8 drive extensions and stacking 1/2 drive extensions to reach fasteners, but had problems with winding up and wobbling respectively. They do absorb the torque from an impact wrench a bit on tough ones, so you'll still need a breaker bar, but that's just the nature of long extensions.

Love the extensions but the 24” was missing when it showed up. How I can’t imagine, like it was stolen or something. Case was nice and solid but it was just missing

I was originally looking at just one 24 or 36 inch extension, but found these for less than another 10 bucks. Now I have a choice of three instead of just one. These come clamped together Via two plastic boxes that you can slide the extensions out of and toss the boxes. The three footer will come in very handy in getting to header to exhaust bolts from the bottom.
