Manufacturing defect. All lights worked backwards once this was used on trailer. Marker lights got brighter with brakes and brake lights would not activate. Purchased new Curt product from Tractor Supply and trailer lights function properly again.

When you unwrap this pigtail from the packaging, you will see an allen wrench nut in the top. That nut needs to be adjested downward in order for the 7 prong piece to be inserted into the power port smoothly.
