The sound of these wood blocks is natural, warm and full of rich, knocking tone that can only come from hand-crafted wood materials. This is the real and authentic wood block sound that plastic blocks can only attempt to mimic. This block is built from one solid piece of American hardwood with a hand-rubbed oil finish that darkens the look while bringing out the natural wood grain. Our one-piece design projects a focused tone that cuts through other instruments with plenty of volume. It is also extremely durable. I bought the 6”, 7”, & 8”. They all sound great and great together. The 8” (large) block has to be hit in a particular location to get a really loud pop/sound but that is part of the fun with natural instruments. I’m very pleased with all three.

I’m very happy with this wood block. I appreciate the natural wood material over plastic blocks, love the look and feel, and the sound is warm yet pops through a mix.

Reviewed several brands of woodblocks. Purchased this after reading reviews and glad I did. According to where on the block and how hard you strike, it can be heard well with a 20 member adult choir. Very impressed. This did not dissappoint!

I know, it's just wood, right? I purchased the small and large woodblocks and they really do sound great. I Compose lots of different types of music and this will make it into many of those recordings for sure. I have other wood blocks, but these are a great deal and sound fantastic. I'm going to pick up the mid-sized one next!
