I had intended on using this block for a clip clop sound for a Christmas song some friends were playing at a party. The item didn't quite have the sound I was hoping for, but as a wood block, it did work well.

I would’ve given it five stars if there was more projection with each of these blocks. They are not as bright as I would have thought but they do the job. It is also interesting that they have the ridges on them and it makes for an interesting time with young children. For the price however, they are a little pricey. The only thing is that I find that they are unique compared to other blocks out there.

The deeper two tones are bright and resonant, but the highest tone (smallest block) is dead.

My son is a budding percussionist so I got this for him for xmas. He loves it and I enjoy playing with it too. It is a good quality and can be used for more than just play.
