How to choose the suitable clock mechanism
Measure the thread shaft of your old clock mechanism, if the length is shorter or equal to 12mm, then this clock movement mechanism is suitable for your clock.

Fit my clock. Original hands too loose to fit so had to modify shortest set of replacement hands to fit my smaller diameter clock. Running for a couple of days and keeping time well. Quite and easy to install. Probably cost as much as clock was worth but had sentimental value so glad to have fixed. Second clock movement I’ve replaced and these are projects for the patient and versatile.

Bought several last year for our stopped wall clocks. I was skeptical that the continuous motor could keep accurate time but they have functioned flawlessly and kept perfect time. I replace the batteries every six months in all our clocks at DST so I can’t speak about battery drain. It is also nice not to hear the clocks ticking. So far, I’m a believer in the technology

This was an almost perfect replacement my neon wall clock that is about 20 years old. I first found replacement parts online, (huge learning curve for a novice!!!) but the cost was eye opening! So I checked Amazon and found this item, for $10! Multiple hands and second hands to choose from. Clear instructions. And various hardware/pieces to secure it, depending on your situation.In my case, I was able to re-use the original nut to secure it to the clock. The supplied nut is quite thin and wouldn't "catch" the mechanism threads. My original nut has a wide collar that goes deeper thru the face plate hole, and secured it nicely. Thankfully the threads matched!! My old hands didn't fit, so I used one of the supplied sets.Also, all hands have a protective plastic covering that must be carefully pealed off. Otherwise the hands will look horrible. Work gently because the hands are easily bent.My old movement second hand "ticked", and jumped second to second. This one is completely silent, and moves steadily and smoothly. Nice, but something I'll have to get used to. I actually like the ticking, especially when the house is silent.I'm extremely happy with this item. I have a second identical clock, and I'm purchasing a second one to have on hand should it quit working also. 🙂

The clock was slightly larger on the spindles for the clock hands, so I was unable to use my old hands.

Further update: Running completely accurately for 6 months now.UPDATE (see below for original):Amazon sent a replacement, and the second one is running steadily and accurately for 3 days now. I have increased the rating from 1 to 3 stars, since it appears there are serious quality issues as noted by many here.ORIGINALInstalled it and it seemed to run fine. Several hours later it was suddenly 10-15 mins slow. Took it off the wall and set it up to keep an eye on it and it would run perfectly accurately for up to 17 hours and then when I would check 3 hours later, it was 15 mins slow!!! And so on....I have ordered a replacement and will update this if it acts better or differently.
