One stayed on others did not. did not stop them from suckling.This product did not work.We ended up building a pen in our pasture under tree cover, hauled food, and water out regularly. Cows were still able to smell and see their calfs. Very little stress on them all.

They are plastic, the bolt is held in place by the plastic around it, you can only tighten so much. A few of my calf had removed them by about the 3rd day. Took the others out without issue. Don’t keep them in too long. They can cause irritation and rub on the inside of their noses.My calf just want the milk, I’ll have to try something else.

This is a must have if you have stubborn cows that refuse to wean off. I like the fact that you don’t have to pierce the nose to make them affective.

I hear a lot of people suggesting these. We tried it with the points toward him to bother him - didn't work. We tried it with the points toward the cow - didn't work cause my determined bull calf learned that if he pestered a milking cow enough and turned his head sideways he could nurse without the ring getting in his way. He's living with his sire now. His daddy don't put up with that.

These are the only ones that stay in the nose. I like the ability to be able to tighten it. You can put it in different size animals. Excellent product.
