These are the only pencils I use. The lead advances itself automatically - no need to advance it manually. Comes with extra lead which is easy to load when your lead runs out. It has a good point and it's the perfect shade of darkness. Invest in these and you won't be sorry.

Excellent eraser and as good as a No 2 pencil except better- No wood shavings to deal with as you never have to sharpen this pencil!Better than other mechanical pencils as you never have to click a button. Never jams. It is gravity fed so you might need to tap it on a surface if you have been writing a lot upside down but otherwise it is always ready for use… until the led runs out. However re loading is as simple as taking the onboard storage tube out by the eraser, removing a led refill and dropping it down the hole and putting the refill tube with it’s eraser back into place. Literally a 7 second move and you are back to writing. I am so frustrated Staples no longer has them available on demand. However I am grateful I can still get them through Amazon.Pity they no longer come in standard yellow pencil as I really enjoyed the look alike. Though I can understand people making mistakes and sharpening the empty pencil forgetting it wasn’t a regular wood one so I suppose the distinguished silvery gray is better.

I adore these mechanical pencils. The auto fees works flawlessly. The only time I have had an issue was when I was shaking the pencil between my fingers - fidgeting - while focused on something else. It caused the lead to feed out. I don't fidget often, so it's not really an issue for me, but something you should be aware of if you do. Beyond that they are some of the best mechanical pencils I've ever come across.

I had no idea they still made these pencils and am SO HAPPY to get them again. I have been using the same 2 I have had for 20+ years and I'm thrilled to have seen these in my suggested items and in SILVER! Super happy customer here!

The overall design is what prompted me to buy this as I liked the idea of the standard #2 pencil form factor but as a mechanical pencil. I own a Pentel Orenz which uses the same auto feeding lead mechanism but arguably does it much better (it is afterall a more expensive pencil). With that being said I was not expecting the world from this given its an avg of 4$ a pencil, however the lead advancement mechanism often sticks due to it being made from cheap plastic at the tip vs a small metal assembly that could arguably be within the manufacturing budget. A neat plus of this pencil is the built in lead storage found by unscrewing the eraser. Overall id say grab them if youd like a cheapish alternative to a standard #2 pencil that has a little flavor to it, otherwise if you want a good pencil go for uni kuru toga for about the same cost.

These Ticonderoga Sensematic Mechanical pencils, available in a set of two, offer a unique twist on traditional mechanical pencils. These pencils are fantastic. They write smoothly and effortlessly, and their ergonomic design makes them easy to grip. What sets them apart is that they don't require the usual clicking mechanism to extend the lead - the lead is automatically extended and sharpened as you write. Not only do they perform exceptionally well, but they also have an impressive appearance and a comfortable feel. Additionally, their erasers work effectively. I thoroughly enjoy using these innovative pencils and highly recommend them.

The Ticonderoga Sensematic Mechanical Pencils are my new favorite! The 0.7mm lead is just the right size, not too thick or thin, and it writes smoothly every time. I love the silver design; it looks sleek and feels nice in my hand. What sets these apart is the automatic lead advance, no clicking necessary! It’s super convenient and makes writing or sketching feel seamless. Plus, they’re durable enough to handle daily use without any issue. With two pencils in the pack, it’s a great value, and I always have a backup ready. If you want a mechanical pencil that’s both stylish and functional, I’d totally recommend these!

Love that these look traditional and the auto feature really works well...the one down side I have found in no way to know how much lead you have left and once they get short it messes with the function of them.
