Bought this for my 3 year old to learn pencil control and my 6 year old ended up taking them. She loved them said it was very easy for her to write wtih smaller pencils.

I originally bought these for me. They are very comfortable in my hand and write very smoothly. My issue is…once my 6yr old granddaughter got a hold of them…I had to buy more! We both love them.

As a school-based occupational therapist, I wholeheartedly recommend the Ticonderoga golf pencil for children who struggle with traditional-sized pencils.Pros: The thick diameter makes it easier for small hands to grip, and its triangular shape promotes proper finger placement for better control. Plus, the shorter length is manageable and durable, even for kids who press hard while writing.Cons: Keep in mind that you'll need a special sharpener for these pencils, and they do come at a higher price point compared to standard pencils.Overall, the benefits greatly outweigh these minor drawbacks!

I appreciate the quality of these pencils for use in my 1st grade classroom. They sharpen well and promote proper pencil grip with students. Because these are 3-sided, they are less likely to roll off desks, I also like the length of these pencils for students to have greater control over their pencil while writing. I have purchased these for my 1st grade classroom for 2 years now and will continue to do so.

As an experienced kindergarten teacher, short pencils are perfect for small hands. The The triangular shape allows the small fingers to learn the correct hold easily and there is no long “tail” of the pencil to try and balance while trying to control the point of the pencil. This is a great brand and worth the purchase.
