Got this for our summer camping trip. Our daughter is a tall 19 mos and has outgrown her other carrier. Husband is a big guy and this pack fit well, felt sturdy, and the kid liked it also! Its nice that she sits up so high and has a better view. And the pack holds a lot of stuff.

We bought this when our first child was coming up to 18 months and we were planning a trip to Dubrovnik which isn't buggy friendly, used it plenty with her, as others have noted the storage at the bottom is a decent size (great for picnics etc). Now have it out again for our youngest (just coming up to 1) who loves it and allows us to go out for walks in the woods etc which we couldn't with a buggy. It's held up well - been on a few flights, hoisted up and down etc.. not cheap but a really well made piece of kit that we've had plenty of use from. The elite bit gives you the rucksack on the front, never taken it off, but it does give you more storage which we frequently use, as others have noted it's comfortable for both the carrier and the child, no rubbing etc.

Great material used in making this product. Very comfortable for various sized people. I’m 6’4” and my wife is 5’8” and we can both easily adjust and wear comfortably. Plenty of storage. Only critique would be the separate shade is cumbersome to install/remove/store but the rest of the positives makeup for it. We tried the Kelly first and the Thule is worlds better.

It is quite expensive, but if all the straps and things are properly set, then the weight will be distributed on your hips & shoulders, then you’ll be able walking long distances; the pocket at the bottom is quite big; you can detach a small rucksack; the shade accessory is easy to fit. What you need to add is a tiny pillow for when he/she falls asleep.

I’ve used an Osprey poco plus for 4 years, so I thought it would be good to compare it against this Thule pack. Both packs are highly and easily adjustable to fit the adult and the kid. I don’t think there is much difference there. I also find them both to be comfortable for hour long hikes. I’m sure they would be comfortable beyond that, but an hour is about as long as my kids are happy in the carrier. As a result, it comes down to personal preference regarding the features. The Thule has a number of features that I like over the Osprey. The main storage compartment on the Thule is always usable no matter the position of the stand. On the Osprey, folding the stand in collapses that storage space. Next, I like the side loading option. My 3 year old can get in mostly by himself. He needs a some help getting out, but it is easier than lifting him up and loading him from the top. Also, I like the storage on this pack, especially the zippered pockets on the hip belt. I don’t know why Osprey didn’t include that, but the zippered storage is much more secure than the elastic mesh pocket on the Osprey. Thule also provides a mirror, which is handy to check on my passenger. There are only a few downsides to the Thule compared to the Osprey. One is that I cannot fold the stand while the pack is on my back. Maybe the hinge will loosen up over time, but it is really hard to fully extend or fold the stand and I needed another person’s help. Another area I prefer the Osprey is the sunshade. I think the Osprey’s is easier to set up and put away. I feel like I’m going to break the Thule’s sun shade when I am stowing it. Last, I personally prefer wider and more thickly padded shoulder straps. I found both versions comfortable for an hour or so, but if I were to go on longer, multi-hour hikes, I would likely go with the Osprey. However, o don’t think you can go wrong with either the one.

Very easy to use. Very durable material. Light weight. Child feels secured in backpack (not flimsy) has made taking baby to grocery store or hiking trails stress free and enjoyable! Would recommend every new parent get one of these versus a baby Bjorne type carrier.

Bought for our little one and, as always, Thule has exceeded our expectations. This is a good unit. Only three stars because ours came missing the backpack on the back and the only way to get it was to send it back. This was a Christmas gift.

We purchased this carrier for a recent family trip to Maui so that we could take our toddler hiking with us. We were able to check it for free because it is a child accessory and some airlines provide complimentary checking of those items (Thanks Delta). This is a great hiking backpack, our son loves it! He sits up high enough so that he can see around him and it is very comfortable to wear. It's apparently comfortable to ride in it as well because our son has fallen asleep on a couple of hikes now! We love the mirror and the sun shade that is included. We recommend it

This thing is excellent. I bought this for our trip to Europe later this year since we'll be touring castles and the like where stroller accessibility is questionable (stair, etc.). I've used it many times already for walks around the neighborhood and even to free up hands while the baby is cranky to do some chores. It is VERY well built, is comfortable to wear, feels like it will last a lifetime, and looks great. Couldn't be better. Definitely worth the money. Do it.

This was really comfortable on me and my 11 month old seemed comfortable too. She even fell asleep! It was extremely easy to adjust between myself and my husband (I'm 5'7", he's 6'4"). I like the grey/blue combo a lot. They only things I wish it had were a side pocket for a water bottle that my baby could reach (but she's maybe just too little for that yet) and more organization in the huge pocket under the carrier part. All in all, I thought it was great and it worked really well for the week we spent on the North Country Trail.I also tried the Phil and Ted, Kelty 2.0, Osprey Poco Plus, and one other at REI. This was the winner BY FAR, in my opinion.
