Product Description

Throttle Body Assembly

About Throttle Body

The Throttle Body is a valve that controls how much the engine sucks. It is a round steel plate with a shaft in the middle, which is connected to the throttle cable and controlled by the throttle cable. The throttle body is a device on the engine air intake system. The throttle body is generally divided into three parts: the actuator, the throttle plate and the throttle position sensor, which are generally packaged as one.

2

Throttle body installation steps:

  1. After cleaning and inspection, install the throttle body;
  2. Install the throttle position sensor plug;
  3. Install the throttle cable bracket on the throttle body and tighten
  4. Install the throttle cable. The installation process is opposite to the disassembly process. After installation, check the tightness of the throttle cable;
  5. Install the air filter assembly;
  6. After the whole installation process is finished, check the engine system with a checker.

This unit was easy to install and has been working well for the few months or so that it's been in the vehicle. I did have to widen the slot/slit that the throttle cable sits in. Just widened it a little with a flathead screwdriver.

Its a decent product, work but ive notice coolant leaking from the idle air control, after having it for not too long, reason why its a 3stars for me only

The price was good, shipping was quick and the fitment was fine. But 6 weeks later its leaking coolant out of the side cover (this is sealed when you buy it). It could have been leaking sooner but i didn't see or smell it. Not its leaking bad and the car isn't drive able. The factory one had a rusted out coolant tube. It has 235K miles so i didn't want to spend a lot. If it lasted a year i was ok with that, but 6 weeks just isn't acceptable. *Update* i have been trying for 2 weeks to get ahold of the company to get a replacement part under warranty and not a word back. I emailed directly and went through amazon. Not a single word.

Everything was just like the OEM part. Easy to install and came with 2 gaskets. It resolved the idle issue and the check engine light issue. It was a great value for the money.

I give this 4 stars because the slot for the throttle cable was misaligned which forced me to round it out more with a drill bit so the end of my throttle cable could fit.Other than that, it fits without any other modifications and fixed my weird idle issue. The price tag is good compared to OEM $$$Im in a 2005 manual trans Element, the revs were hanging up high in neutral only while I was in motion, once I came to a stop my revs would settle down. I tried cleaning the IACV on my old throttle body and that didn't fix the problem. I figure the IACV was just bad on my old throttle body.

No modifications needed. Fit my 04 honda element perfect. Took about 30 minutes to install and my idle is perfect. Can't beat the price.

I used this module as a repair to my broken cruise control cable rocker wheel. I had it installed in less than 20minutes using a video on YouTube. It works great. Since it comes with a MAP sensor installed, the rough idol of my motor is also fixed. Worth the time and effort. You will spill a little coolant. Be prepared.

My 03 accord was idling rough (reving up and down), i bought idle control valve from carparts.com ($26) and installed ($50) and cleaned the trhottle body...fast forward the problem didnt go away. i saw on amazon the whole throttle body assembly was cheap ($63), i decided to try and after installing ($100) the problem went way . Its been 2 months and still running well. Now the oem throttle body is 800 dollars to buy and for sure thats way more than my car is worth. i am not looking for this to last 5 yrs but maybe a yr from now so i can save and buy a better car. my 03 is 220k miles so that tells you the car is not worth putting 800 bucks to it. If you have a newer car that you are looking to drive for 10+ yrs i am not sure if I would put a part thats not oem. by the way there was a hole that was not drilled well to allow the throttle cable to go in nicely so my mechanic had to shave a bit of the cable head. other than that everything else was good.

The edges around the intake side were a little rough. Also the throttle plate edge paint was hilariously worn off and cracked. Had to wipe most of it off. That being said, works, fixed my issue, sensors seem to be good.
