I bought this a few months ago and just used it for the first time and it completely fell apart. It is held together with a thin and weak piece of aluminum and a spring. If anybody was able to get a few scoops out of this, consider it a miracle. I wish I could return it.

This scooper is wonderful. All the feels of childhood buying ice cream at Thrifties before it was all consolidated. The scooper is the exact same one the store uses and scoops ice cream well. The key is to get it hot, dip it in and then turn it at an angle and pull it back out. There is nothing not to like about it!

I was hoping the ice cream would lift right up with this gadget when coming up. My hands get sticky with ice cream because I have to go sideways. A little pricey for this gadget

Easy to use with just a twist & a pull of the trigger. This is my fav ice cream scooper I've ever used. Hopefully it'll hold up. Most metal products used these days are of thin metal like this scooper.Note: Amazon manipulates reviews if it's not to their liking or being payed off by sellers product so this may not show.

This is just like the ice cream scoop our neighborhood Thrifty had 50 years ago when I was a kid. The scoop is very sturdy, easy to clean and effective. Love it! Be sure to get the right size cones for the scoop.
