Boil up some water in your electric kettle, put about a half a bottle of this in the drain. Pour the hot water in and stand back.

This stuff is amazing. It has never failed. It has cleared nasty utility sink that had never been cleaned or drained that we could tell. It cleared the kids drain and ours, which I know had tons of beard hair in it. It doesn't smell, it's not a liquid so it doesn't spill or drip. It softened all the gross and then everything just washed away doen the drain. I already ordered more

Poor mark on 'Scent' is because you don't want to be smelling this crystalline product - the gases it puts out are dangerous to your lungs. Poor mark on 'Value for the Money' is because this product didn't work for me. C Grade on 'Easy to Use' is because precautions MUST be taken. You want the room to be well-ventilated AND you definitely want to wear gloves and eye protection. I poured this product on a vanity sink drain with the stopper open, but in place! That was poor judgement on my part. The instant chemical reaction when I poured on the boiling water happened in the sink and did NOT run down the drain pipe. Furthermore, the upward whoosh of the gases of the chemical reaction caused the drain stopper to close! I could not reopen that stopper and had to call a plumber. I believe this product would most likely have worked IF 1) I had taken the stopper out of the sink, 2) had poured the product directly into the piping, and 3) the 'plug' in my poorly draining vanity sink had been right in the U-shaped piping directly below the sink. All the best to you in your plumbing efforts.

Like other people, I've wasted hundreds of dollars on drano etc... and nothing works like this stuff! I will only buy this product from now on. I am ordering my second bottle now because my drain is old and really stubborn. I have long hair as well as two of my dogs that I bath in the shower. With the first bottle I just emptied, I used one cup to begin with like the directions say, and immediately, like others have said, you can hear it burning the hair and also hear the small swish sound of the drain clearing. So for me, it worked about 75% with the first bottle. But like I said, I won't use anything else as this works above and beyond any others! And again, my drain is extra tortured from all our hair, so I would need the most powerful cleaner in the world, and so far, this stuff is the closest to it! Tips I agree with others on that now I know to do with my second bottle: wear gloves! I didn't and like others, it itched and burned my skin on my hands and up my arms. I didn't even touch it at all. It was the fumes alone. So when using it, wash your hands and arms with warm water and dish soap frequently and you'll be fine. Also, just use the hot shower water to warm the line in the beginning, but after that, once you shove the flakes down the drain, heat up water, I did in the microwave till scolding hot, and when you want to add a little water to the flakes, use the scolding water. You will hear more burning the hotter the water is! Brilliant!
