My husband can't swallow well. These meals are good for what they are but my husband hates them. I think the taste is just like what it's supposed to be. I would eat it if I had dysphasia.

I did not like this food, it made me very sick, strong sharp stomach pain almost fainted with the pain, I almost need to go urgent care, I could not sleep well and still the day after my stomach very Sensity, if does not go away I need to go to urgent care.

Understand this is food that has basically been masticated for you so the presentation doesn't factor in. It's thin enough for post surgery providing you do not eat it without letting it get to barely above room temperature. And tiny baby bites are key. Do not be aggressive on how quickly you start eating foods. This is a serious surgery and you do not want to disturb the healing process...knock off the scabs. Sorry for being "gross" but it is what it is. The flavour is surprising alright. Again, we aren't expecting a fine dining experience but something to fill my tummy.I just tried the "french toast with maple cinnamon". Need a bit of butter but was to much of a thick paste and stuck to the roof of my mouth and sides. Perhaps a bit of milk to thin it further?On the expensive side but it's only for a few weeks.Hope this review helps. Be blessed and be healed!!

I purchased the Hormel pureed dinners as a result of significant oral surgery and an inability to eat anything other than than pureed foods for several weeks. As I never needed to, I have never purchased or consumed pureed food in the past. Absent preparing your own pureed food, there are no other good dinner purees available. The Hormel pureed dinners are tasteful, satisfying and very easy to prepare.

The beef isn’t as tasty as the turkey. both flavors are the right consistency for nectar thickness.

I used this product as I need to eat foods that are easy to swallow which it is. I wish it had more flavor to REAL chicken and tasted better.
