I bought this when I was having tendonitis in my foot and going through PT. It was recommended by my therapist to help me with my therapy homework. I found it came in handy to use as a step for me to get into and out of bed! With the taller mattresses they make these days, and my being vertically challenged, it was the perfect step up I needed for effortless getting in and out of the bed!

This platform stepper is the much needed improvement over my previous stepper. My previous stepper broke after just a few months. I weigh 106 pounds and don't understand why any stepper would brake with that small amount of weight. This new stepper is sturdier and stronger. It is slightly bigger, but it appears to fit a little loose. As long as I use it properly, it has/will work, that's what matters. This stepper and the older stepper say that they support approximately 275 pounds if used as directed. Do the math.

For small spaces this is such a great option! Exactly like it’s larger counterpart but 1/2 the size. Great buy and durable.

I use this to help me step up and put my baby in her crib! Small and sturdy for that!

I already own The Step: The Original Health Club Step with risers, and I decided to only order The Step: The High Step Platform to use with my risers. Unfortunately, when I placed the platform on the riser, it did not have a tight, secure fit. The platform would move on the riser about 1/2 inch in any direction. Obviously, this was unsafe, and I had to return the product. In the end, I bought the High Step that came with risers. I tested the 2nd High Step platform I bought on the risers I already owned, and again, it did not fit securely. So, it seems as though the Original Health Club Step risers I own do not work with the High Step, although they are the same brand. For that reason, I would recommend purchasing the High Step that comes with the risers as a set to ensure that your platform fits securely on the riser.I still gave the product 5 stars because I really like the High Step! I use it with my Cathe DVDs as well as my Firm DVDs. I like that you can adjust the height with 2-inch increments. Plus, it's small and doesn't take up a lot of space. I use the High Step instead of my Firm Fanny Lifter because the traction on the High Step is safer -- although I do wish the rubber strip covered the entire Step all the way to the edge. Overall, it is a great piece of exercise equipment to add to your home gym!
