I bought this to divert the steam from my instant pot. It works well because I don’t want steam getting on my cabinets. It also hilarious when steam comes out of Trumps mouth. Go Trump!

I have the 8 quart Instant Pot Duo Crisp 11 function I believe. It has two separate lids. One for everything EXCEPT air fry. Then the other lid is for Air frying. On my lid which does all the functions this spout thing is to large and I had to really be careful where I placed it in relation to the other gadgets up in the same vicinity or it would potentially be blocking another function. I no longer use it as it was just a pain and nerve wracking wondering if it would stay where it needed to while it did it’s job.

Your food will come out cooked great, and cabinets won't. My Ninja sits on the counter while in use, and every single time we release the steam, I have to cautiously twist it around, balancing it perfectly on the edge of the counter, and hold it steady while twisting the steam release...until now. This easy to apply gadget diverts the steam in whichever direction you want, saving the underneath and front of your cabinets. Well worth the purchase!

El material es excelente, una vez colocado queda en su sitio, aún con la presión del vapor no se mueve y lo desvía perfecto.Sin duda lo recomiendo ampliamente.

This little gadget worked well as advertised; diverted the steam to the direction of wherever the opening is pointed at.and fitted the vent on my Crock-Pot; However, this gadget is not recommended for the Master Pro 12-in-1 because of the way the vent is designed on that machine.

Does what is it supposed to do! I wasn't sure this would actually direct the steam far enough to the side, or if it would just move it slightly. It does both - at first under high pressure, it directs the steam a good foot or more to the side.. As the pressure subsides, it more just drifts out and goes straight up. However, the LARGE majority of the steam is directed away from the cabinets, which was the whole point of getting this in the first place. The second caveat is it can be a little difficult to install. The instructions state to not install while using the instant pot, but to wait until it is time to vent the steam. I'm sure this is to keep the diverter from overheating and warping, but it is tricky to install it under full steam pressure. You have to hook the bottom over the steam vent, and I have yet to accomplish that without releasing some steam accidentally. You have to have quick responses to not burn your hand. All that being said, it does keep most of the steam from hitting the kitchen cabinets and that is the point. As long as you are aware of the limitations, and are careful, it works as advertised.

Love this Steam Boss, best thing for quick release on the Instant Pots and easy to clean.

It does takes some time to get used to the sound and sudden rush of steam blasting out of a venting pressure cooker, but unless you have an island on which to place your cooker redirecting the steam is essential to protect walls, cabinets, and anything else it might hit. A bonus for the steam though is that it's adding much needed humidity and saving my humidifier some effort. My sinuses are happier too!I purchased the Steam Boss to use with my 6.5 qt Ninja Foodi because waving a towel over it while it's venting isn't my idea of fun. After watching a few videos I knew it would fit my Foodi, and the Steam Boss's multiple openings around its bottom edge allow for perfect positioning. Its generous opening speeds up 'quick venting' and silicone composition makes it easy to clean—but watch where its elbow is pointing when you rinse it unless you have very quick reflexes!I purposely purchased the bright pink/fuchsia because I like pink and it makes it very easy to spot and remember to use until that little but necessary habit of sealing the cooker before starting it becomes ingrained.I doubt it will become necessary to replace my Steam Boss but if I had to I would purchase it again and can easily recommend it to others.

I love this little gizmo...The Steam Boss! It is so handy and easy to use. Even though I have used a pressure cooker for years, it took me several months to work up the nerve to try out our new Instant Pot. It was a bit intimidating with all those buttons and choices. With my old pressure cooker I ran cold water over the lid to release the pressure so I didn't have to touch the valve and risk being burnt by steam. When I first tried the Instant Pot I realized that quick releasing pressure with the valve could give you a burn if you were not careful. So I did a little more research and found The Steam Boss on line. What a great idea! There are different models to accommodate the various models of Instant Pot ( I have the Duo Plus ). The correct model of The Steam Boss boss for my machine came in black or pink. I chose pink, not just because it was a fun, less serious color but because I thought it would be a lot easier to find in a drawer with all my other black gadgets. An additional plus is it is easy to see what you are doing when attaching it to the valve on the Instant Pot. It only takes a couple of times to figure out how to aim the diverter because it changes position when you turn the valve. Note that you do NOT COOK with the diverter in place but put it on the pot only when cooking is finished and you are ready to divert the steam. To clean you just rinse in hot soapy water. No mess, no fuss and it keeps your fingers away from the hot steam and the steam from getting on your cabinets.
