We are proud to say, "The Original Safety Siphon is 100% made and manufactured here in the United States."

Simple, Safe & Convenient

The Original Safety Siphon six foot, half inch siphon

Perfect for homebrewing, wine making, automotive purposes, gardening and irrigation, the Original Safety Siphon does it all! Depending on the siphon size, the self-priming pump can transfer up to 10.5 gallons of water per minute, making this a safe alternative to traditional siphons.

Like the best tools, The Original Safety Siphon is both SIMPLE, SAFE, and CONVENIENT. SIMPLE - because it relies on gravity for its operation. Simple in its lack of complex, moving or perishable parts. SAFE - because all the dangerous and unpleasant aspects of siphoning are eliminated. A simple vigorous pumping action starts the siphon flow instead of sucking it out with your mouth or hands. It does not need or should never be placed in the mouth. The Original Safety Siphon reduces the risk of spilling or inhaling the fluid. CONVENIENT - because you no longer have to hold and pour heavy fuel cans.

-

How To Use:

1. Before using, drain all liquid from the hose.

2. The end of tube must be lower than pump before siphoning will start.

3. Submerge pump into liquid that is to be siphoned.

4. Move pump vigorously in an up and down motion. It is important the pump remain in the liquid at all times to start the siphoning. Once the flow starts, stop moving or shaking the pump as gravity will maintain the flow of the liquid. Once siphoning starts, keep the pump submerged in liquid.

5. To stop siphoning, remove the pump from the liquid.

6. Drain all liquid from the hose and clean thoroughly.

7. Store in a cool, dry place.

Needed to get water out of my boat that pooled in my cover. At first, I thought it wasn’t working, but I just had to shake it like my life depended on it and the water started flowing. 10/10!

What a simple device that can save you in a pinch. Really works well with gas cans and even down filler tubes is large enough. No leaks.

Love this syphon. The nozzles on the new red gas cans are impossible to use now, I needed something easy to empty the can. Put the copper end into the red can, move it up and down a few times to get the gas moving through the tube and just like that, it emptied in a few minutes! No mess, no frustration.Definitely recommend it!

I used this to empty my diesel fuel tank on my vehicle. It was down below 1/4 tank but I didn't want to remove the drain plug and have it go all over.At first it wasn't working, and I moved it around for quite a while and was frustrated. Then I re-read the instructions and realized that I was probably moving it out of the fuel when I was moving it up and down since the level was low.I tried again with smaller movements and it worked perfectly.I drained 22 gallons from my 80 gallon tank. It never lost suction, it just kept going and going. Will keep it around just in case.

Just used this to transfer 5 gal can full of gas to my late-model car, worked fast and perfectly...didnt spill a single drop, and probably only left 1/4 cup or so in the can after I held it up at angle as it was getting near empty. I had worried that the plastic (vinyl, or whatever the material is) hose might not be stiff enough to force past the anti-siphon/roll-over flapper valve in the tank's "fill pipe", but it was no problem at all. Also had been worried that if the hose material was flimsy it would deteriorate after exposure to gas, but as thick as this material is I dont think that will be a problem. There is a video on Utube showing a guy sitting a 5 gal plastic can up on a car's trunk (towel underneath to prevent scratches) and that gave the siphon plenty enough elevation from can to car tank for a strong flow, and I can confirm as much cause thats exactly what I did. Didnt time the process but the flow started immediately and the tank was empty in surely less than 3 minutes. To get gas from a FULL or nearly full can into a car tank, there cant be a simpler, easier way to do it. Be advised the physics involved: you need to have enough depth of fluid that you are sticking the valve into to give you room for at least 5-6" (I'm guessing) of motion for you to keep the valve completely submerged; if you were to try to get it going in a partially filled can, you might not get the flow started, or at least not easily started.

I ordered the siphon a couple months ago, and finally used it for the first time in the last week. I siphoned 5 gallons of gas from a jerry can into my auto tank. The pros are, it easily primed itself- so easily I questioned whether it was working. I thought it would take some ten minutes to do five gallons, but, I walked away for a minute or two, and on return found that all of the gas had been transferred. The cons are, the hose is quite stiff and wants to return to the tightly coiled position from the packaging. Made it kind of difficult to handle, but if removed from the package and allowed to warm in sunshine and then stored uncoiled, this may not be a problem. About four inches from the end opposite the primer, the hose was crimped. I tried to uncrimp, but not successfully. Nevertheless, it siphoned quickly. All in all, I am quite pleased with the performance, and the price certainly beats that of the jerry can nozzles that are being advertised on Amazon. In addition, my Safety Siphon is unlikely to break at the first use, if ever, like some have experienced with their jerry can nozzles.

We've looked at and have owned a variety of siphon pumps and were intrigued by the simplicity of design and function of the Super Siphon. The downside of many of these siphons is that they tend to break, wear out, fall apart, or simply not function. The Super Siphon is an exception. It is well made (in the USA, no less), operates easily, and functions flawlessly. Employing a simple marble which moves back-and-forth in a copper jacket, a siphon is easily generated and fluids transfer quickly. The only drawback that we have noticed is that the six-feet of tubing is rather short for many purposes. Otherwise this is a fantastic product.
