The threaded part is not attached to the handle. You can't tighten the tool on the stamp, the rod spins in the handle, then, if you do get it tight, it won't loosen because the rod spins in the handle. There is no mechanical connection to the handle, it's just set in the rubber. As you use the tool, it loosens on the stamp so the stamp falls off and you can't tighten it because it just spins in the handle. Not worth the money.

Holds die firmly & keeps your hand away from striking area. The fact that it holds different sizes of die is also great. However,I wish I would have bought a jig that also holds the die level. With your hand at the end of the handle it is difficult to tell when the die is level so stamp imprints comes ut uneven. For me anyway.

I am new to metal stamping. I am right handed, so it is nice to have the metal stamp holder in my left hand and the hammer in my right hand. I put my right thumb on the bottom of the letter punch, and keeping the metal stamp holder opening towards me in my left hand, I insert the letter punch from below the stamp holder, with my thumb also towards me. Then just tighten and stamp!

I thought my hammer was defective cause it kept smashing my hand. Not any more! This is great. All bones in my hands have healed! A must have if you have evil hammers!

This is a GREAT metal stamp holder - as long as your stamps are small enough to fit in it. Please read the description, and don't give it a bad rating because you didn't read it and found that your stamps are too large.

Bought this to go with my alphabet stamps. Stamps had missing pieces, so I had to return them. No longer needed this, so I returned it also. I was not impressed with this item. It is easier, for me, to hold the stamp in my hand than to use this stamp holder.

Well made does the job, but so far its too time consuming changing stamps & I don't need for the 1/4 set. I will only use it on 1/8 +5/32 sets. Plastic/rubber handle is easy to hold & use, and keeps your fingers safe!
