  • Build your own gumball machine with this science kit that's part marble run, Part roller coaster, Part pinball machine!
  • Each segment of track teaches a different lesson in mechanical physics, exploring topics such as simple machines, force, motion, momentum, gravity, Newton's laws, energy transfer, and more.
  • Track segments are modular and can be easily moved around to create an almost limitless number of different gumball machines.
  • As they roll down the tracks, the gumballs perform cool stunts via a pulley lift, pendulum, funnel, trampoline, pinball launcher, domino slide, and more!
  • The kit works with standard machine-size, 16-mm (5/8-inch) gumballs, the a small supply of gumballs are included to get you started.
  • A parents' Choice silver award winner
  • Skill Level: Novice

Super sweet stunts! Build your own gumball machines and learn physics lessons in the process. A turn of a handle dispenses one gumball at a time out of the clear storage globe and down the track. The gumballs land in a collection cup and can easily and sanitarily be returned to the globe for another run. The track segments can be moved around on the base to create an almost limitless number of different gumball machines. As the gumballs roll down the track, they perform cool stunts and tricks. Stunts include a pulley lift, pendulum, funnel, trampoline, variable-slope ramp, pinball launcher, and domino slide. Each segment of the track teaches a different lesson in mechanical physics, allowing users to explore topics including simple machines, force, motion, momentum, gravity, Newton's laws, energy transfer, and more. Trial-and-error experiments teach in a fun, hands-on way: will your gumball successfully make it to the end of the track, or will you have to re-engineer your gumball machine to make it work? The kit works with standard machine-size, 16-mm (5/8-inch) gumballs and includes a small supply of gumballs to get started.

I’ve been eyeballing this for ages but couldn’t justify spending $30 on it, so when it went on sale for like $11 I bought it immediately thinking it would be a really cool gift for my 10yo son who has autism. I’m so glad I waited…For starters, it’s much smaller than I had realized. That’s probably my fault for not paying closer attention. It takes the mini .5” gumballs and total height is about 17” though for reference. My biggest complaint is how frustrating and fiddly it was to assemble. Every time I tried to add a piece, another piece would fall over or just not stay where you put it. It’s hard to snap some of the bigger pieces on to the frame and if you don’t line them up PERFECTLY the gumball just flies off onto the floor. If you try to pick it up the wrong way the whole thing just falls apart.**To top it off, the bowl just sits on top, it’s not attached, so if you lift it up by accident ALL the gumballs go spilling everywhere. I assembled this by myself because I cannot imagine my son trying to do it, or even trying to help. The pendulum snapped in half with the slightest pressure and can’t be fixed so we never got to use that piece. I had to hide it to avoid a meltdown. It’s also really difficult to get each piece to line up and function as intended, even following the included designs & instructions.Overall, it’s a really cool idea for a STEM gift, but it just felt cheaply made and not well thought out. For $11 absolutely, but had I spent the full $30 I absolutely would’ve returned it.

The track is hard to assemble and falls apart easily. It is rickety and some pieces that require balance fall over at the touch of a feather. The gumballs rarely stay on the track for the full trick, even if you follow the instructions or the online tutorials. The gumball dispensing machinery gets stuck easily and requires significant force to dispense a gumball, which sometimes causes the entire setup to fall to bits.

My son loves gumball machines and this has been a favorite of his Christmas gifts this past year. The gumballs looked like they had melted and they were no longer round and fit through the machine just right. I notified the company and they were so easy to work with and replaced the gumballs quickly.

This was the perfect Christmas gift for my son, learning experience with stem projects but fun with a reward (gum ball) after completing.

Its a little janky feeling. Not a super smooth easy thing to use and do with kids. But still pretty fun.

This a was a gift for a 9 year old we had not met. She immediately opened the box and insisted we put together the structure. She was very engaged with the assembly and examined the directions. Success when the gumballs followed the path she created. It was a hit.

I gave this gift to my niece’s daughter, and it was a hit! Not only is it something that the recipient can use for quite a while, but there was a sense of accomplishment of putting this together herself. It appears to be very durable and a great value for the money. I love to give a gift that stimulates the kids which this does.

This product is absolutely garbage. The gimbals get stuck in the top turning mechanism( which comes pre assembled). If the gumball makes its way out, it’s totally deformed and the top colour has tuned into powder. If it doesn’t come out, you have to take out all the gum balls to release the one that is stuck. The domino feature does not work. This machine is not wort $60. This is a dollar store product at best. Very disappointed

Après un certain niveau, la gomme tombe par terre à chaque fois. Rester pris c'est une chose mais quand ca se mange, ca serait l'fun que ca ne soit pas éjecté vers le sol!

This was a waste of money . Me and my son were putting it together the day after Christmas and it is so cheap that every time we would put another piece on on of the pieces we attached prior would fall off . So we would practically have to start all over again for every piece we were trying to add . Do not waste your money . I’m so disappointed Amazon sold me this complete pile of garbage . I’m returning tomorrow.Edit : I reached out to the company since it was past my return with Amazon . They responded within one day . They were very kind . They sent me another item since ours was defective . My son can’t wait to put it together . I’m so grateful the company made it right .

This product is a pain to figure out and very cheaply made. I bought it for my eight year old and she could not figure it out. We followed the instructions and things did not line up. We watched the videos and followed their instructions and it did not work. The pieces keep falling off, the domino section does not work at all and the dominoes keep falling off their track. The gum ball dispenser just crushes the gum balls. It is so hard to turn it feels like the handle will break and we must constantly keep twisting it backwards to unclog a jam. I would not recommend this to anyone even if it only cost a dollar.

Not worth the price, reasons follow:1- it has edible gum-balls which are soft and gets stuck in the machine.2- gum-balls leave color on kids hands3- assembly is not easy instructions are not clear4- build quality of the machine is good but major elements i.e gum-balls are edible and soft.
