I use this to chain my dog up outside to potty. (She like to jump fences). Other hooks would come loose somehow. This one is easy to use and locks. There is a spring action to automatedly lock it so you can forget. Larger than I was expecting but I end up loving the size.

I work on trail maintenance teams and am collecting equipment to perform rigging when needed on the trail.These carabiners are very useful for their light weight and compactness, since they minimize what we have to pack in. They are durable and the twist lock gate makes for a one motion unlock to secure our ropes. The T-nose eliminates the possibility of the snagging the rope on release in comparison to those carabiners with the hook nose.I have to wonder about one thing. These carabiners seem identical to another brand I have, other than the brand markings. However these carabiners, in comparison to the other, have what seems like a normal stiffness in the gate spring and the gate doesn't rub on the nose, so the action is smoother. The cost is about the same for both. Since they both look and should perform about the same, I'd go for these, that have a smoother and more normal feel. Maybe that difference is just in the samples that I have, but that is what I find with what I'm dealing with.

Was exactly what I needed. I was looking for a heavy duty key ring that locked so that the keys would not come off in my pocket. It works exactly like I had envisioned.

I returned it because it was too large for my intended use to attach it to the top grab handle of my backpack. Otherwise kinda regretted having to return them.

I am not using it as a wheight bering carabiner so cannot say if it works well for that purpose. i use it as a tool supporting carabiner and it works well for this use.
