GREAT paint roller! Sturdy and unique in design. I use this thing kind of like a stamp or engraving block - I brush paint onto the high spots, then roll it. I get interesting and one-of-a-kind textures every time this way. It has great potential for art and is very fun to use!

This is a medium sized roller, the pattern closely resembles that of a cheetah. It really takes some patience to get the paint pattern to look like it's not a symmetrical cut-out of a machine. It's too easy to see the same spots following a repeat sequence instead of being flawed, random and asymmetrical like nature. Unless of course you don't see cheetah spots maybe a giraffe? Either way it takes time. The brush is rather durable it could be used repeatedly. The roller does not separate from the handle or slip off nor does it bend what is used often. The sponge they use has deep cuts that give you clear contrast when transferred to the flat surface of your wall, provided you don't press too hard. I use my roller on an angelus cinder block, it doesn't have room to reveal the pattern. So it works great but does get a bit torn up. Flat smooth indoor surfaces are best if you want repeat uses for a long time. This is made of real sponge not foam. It's a lot of fun when traditional basic paint application doesn't challenge your creativity or keep you interested. If you are trying to go for variety texture, this one is fun but upgrade to a larger size if you want your results will be way better and easier to achieve especially if you tend to be hasty.

I wanted a roller that would provide some texture while painting on canvas and walls. This 6” roller makes texture painting so much quicker than dabbing with a sponge. The pattern is fairly uniform, so it takes some experimentation to make it feel more random, or you can remove some pieces of the foam. The roller pad is a sponge material and is moderately soft. I roller frame is an average quality, but I don’t need a more robust frame for a 6” roller. I was disappointed to find that roller frame lacks threading to attach it to an extension pole. Acrylic paint washed out easily after use.

Nice Paint Texture Roller. I have been wanting one of these for a while and seen this to give it a try. Good handle and roller head to work with. Was easy to clean when using Latex paint. It's not a standard roller size but will make do.

i was excited to get this. using it on canvas rather than walls.. its a little too small for walls unless detail areas.. Its a cleaner, quicker and easier way to apply a textured background. i haven't tried to achieve realistic 'animal print' results, but i expect you could with a little practice.I'm uncertain as to whether this is natural sponge, it looks like it might be but has a synthetic feel... synthetic might be better in this case....and last longer.. easy to clean up if using water based paints, but do it sooner rather than later... as dried paint in the crevices can be a devil to get out.a good price as it includes the handle, which seems sturdy, rolls smoothly and has a little rounded bit that might catch drips before they hit your hand, if using upright or overhead. .. though i can think of ways to improve that.. there are holes in the handle for hanging up for storage or to dry..the price wasn't bad even on the usually overpriced Vine, but on amazon, you might get the 20% off coupon, in which case a very good deal. although i cannot say how long it will last..
