Solid workhorse of an air pump. It is quiet, strong and the only one that really does what I need within my 150g tank. This replaces the previous version which ran strong for years.

Amazon says I purchased this in 2017. It still works, makes a lot of bubbles, and is virtually silent. I was reminded to review it when I reviewed a newer Tetra Whisper that I hate. LOL

It is the best air pump for deep aquariums. Very good, I set it up in my 90g freshwater tank, and divided to push air on 2 air stones, excellent strength.

I bought this assuming it was 240v as all it said was mains powered it came as is 110v so then had to buy a voltage drop adapter just so I use it then that started buzzing really loud so returning both.

This is a fantastic air pump. So quiet you will be amazed. Pushing air like crazy for a small unit. Highly recommend this air pump. Price is pretty good for the quality as well. Bedroom quiet zzzzz

I was thinking that there could be no way that this big air pump could be silent but wow to my surprise I was dead wrong. This pump is very impressive, not a sound, literally 99% quite. Definitely would recommend this. It's power is what you might expect, it handles quite a bit. I had 2 long length air stone sticks, a bubble decor, and another 4 inch air stone connected and it was easy for it. One negative is that it only has 1 air outlet & using a cheap splitter even with control valves it's tricky. If you're connecting something that's not level with everything else at the bottom you'll have to get a splitter & adjust it till you got it to wear you want it.

Bought this for a 75 gal tank running 4 bubblers and 2 other air features, we had a TopFin air 4000 that was so loud that even behind the door of the stand you could still hear it across the room. After reading the reviews was a little worried about this unit being loud also, it's not! It's very very quiet, plugged it in and hooked it up and there is only a slight hum with the door open, close the door and all you hear is the bubbles of the tank! Can't speak to the longevity of it but as far as sound goes it's very quiet! The only complaint that I have about it is that there is only 1 port on it. Not a big deal cause it has tons of output to run everything, but I had already set up with two splitters and had to do a little replumbing. Over all very happy with this purchase and would highly recommend it

Really good product, however it is only 110v so had to buy an inverted to step the voltage up to 240v for uk. So really had to spend a further £30 on extra parts apart from that it is a fantastic product

I bought this to drive two air stones and two sponge filters and by the description I expected to have plenty of power. It appears Tetras product description applies to their entire line of pumps and not this one, specifically because the pump couldn't do the job. The only way I could get the air stones going was of I significantly reduced the flow to the sponge filters. I bought a four port manifold to adjust the individual flows and if I had all the valves open the air stones would stop working. I really wanted this to work, especially since it is so incredibly quiet. But I returned it and bought the 300 gallon pump to try instead, which will have it's own review but that one is so much louder.

Update 2.5 years later:The hunt for a quality air pump continues. Within 2 years the pump lost its power drastically and no longer has its "whisper quiet" sound (resorted to using old linens for it to sit on to help muffle the noise). This is being used in a 50 gallon for only one circular aerator and it doesn't do much in the form of bubbles. While it lasted longer than the Fluval and Topfin pumps I have tried, unfortunately the hunt for a quality air pump continues....I've returned to the Whisper family after trying out other brands and have not found them to be anywhere near the quality of these products. Not only can I count on these air pumps to last, they live up to their name by being significantly more quiet than others.This was my first time using this size pump from Whisper and I was incredibly pleased with the quietness it provides. The added rubber padding on the bottom helps ensure you will have quiet operation. It provides excellent aeration with lots of bubbles. A powerful pump at a reasonable price!

I bought this pump to replace what seemed an inferior TetraWhisper 40. Both pumps have powered a Marineland LED bubble wand in my 37 gallon tall aquarium.Despite doing an effective job for a couple months, my original Whisper 40 seemed to be powering down at a drastic rate. The fine sheet of bubbles it provided initially were becoming fewer and much larger. This seemed like a great replacement. Yes, and no.The pump is relatively heavy and seems of sturdier and more workmanlike construction than the 40. A lifetime warranty is a nice plus as well. The pump met my hopes of reinvigorating the bubble wand but the output didn't seem to change whatsoever from the original. Perhaps this isn't the fault of the pump but simply an inability of the bubble wand to do anything more.I would suggest this if you plan on having a long bubble wand or multiple airstones in any tank, especially a deep one. With the lifetime warranty I'd wager this is a pretty good pump at a competitive price. It just didn't blow me away.
