I have ordered this particular aquarium before and have enjoyed it, so I ordered the same one, which will be arriving today. I am guessing it is the same. The only thing I think I had a problem with was the hood be extremely light and fell into the water sometimes. However, if this happens, I will search for another type of hood or have a glass one made. I do need a hood for the fish, and I am really hoping the one being delivered today works better. The rest of the aquarium is absolutely great. I love the filter and my tropical fish were always happy. I was recently given two goldfish and they needed a bigger aquarium. The price on this is higher than it was before and that was disheartening, but I need something I know will work if I am going to pay these prices.

The acrylic is clear and light weight. I can do water changes quickly without too much disturbance. The filter media is inexpensive and effective. I have 2 golden otocinclus and 1 betta.

I first bought this tank two years ago. It's a fairly cheap plastic tank but it has all the essentials that you need, minus a heater for tropical fish. I had first gotten this as a quarantine tank/spare tank for any sick fish and it sat empty for the majority of those two years, but am currently using it to house a betta I got yesterday. The lights aren't the best thing in the world, and I had to tape them to the lid in order to secure the wiring, but they are decent for a kit like this. Don't use a glass-suction thermometer! I found that the plastic warped around the suction cup of the thermometer and that was permanent. I found that pretty strange, but it isn't a huge disruption enough for me to buy a brand new tank. The filter works quietly but is a bit strong for a betta so I will be working on buffering it to slow the flow. It IS adjustable and has a slider on the bottom of the filter! The filter replacements are cheap on Amazon.I like that the length is much more than the height and depth of this tank. This gives your fish lots more longitudinal swim room while also keeping it compact enough for a desktop environment (this tank sits on my desk with minimal space). I personally don't like that the curved surface kind of magnifies things inside, but I DO like how it gives you a clear and mostly unobstructed view of most of the swimming area in the tank, so it is still enjoyable to view. It isn't too obnoxiously curved to distort too much so I still think it's a 5 star tank.I've owned many glass and acrylic tanks of many shapes and sizes; Overall, I recommend this tank for someone on a budget as it's a good value for the price point.

At first we thought it was an ok first tank for our son. When adding water into the tank it cracked along the bottom. When we emptied and tried to move the tank it broke in two pieces. Very disappointed with this purchase.

So I'm a first time fish owner, and after much extensive research into the different tanks on amazon and research online, I decided to go with this one. I'm super happy with the tank, it's definitely great for a first time fish owner and perfect for bettas (which is what I have in there, don't worry just the one haha). The filter is very quiet and effective from what I can tell, and my betta actually likes to swim underneath and and get partially sucked into the flow and then swim away, like some sort of game haha! But he seems super happy in there with all that I've got, he's even starting to make little bubble nests :) The light works pretty well too, and is bright enough to see inside, but not too bright that it's blinding. I'll do a quick pros and cons list, because there are just a few disadvantages.Pros:-nice and roomy-quiet filter (although keep in mind i have it on the lowest flow setting for my betta)-nice LED lights-not completely enclosed so theres a little notch where you can feed your fish throughCons:-does not come with a heater, so you need to buy separately-because of the way the tank is angled, sometimes your fish can see his reflection so for the first few days my betta was very intensely interested and liked to fight it. once i switched to a lighter background on my tank, however, he seemed much better-if you do have a filter, condensation does tend to build up underneath the lid, but thankfully i haven't had much problems with it so far (just posting so you're aware)-the lid isnt attached at all to the tank, so if you do need to take it off, its not on hinges and you have to completely take it off. not really bad just a bit of an inconvience.Hope this helps!
