I've had a problem with multiple ant invasions of my house every year. type a of ant on kitchen counter, type b likes the trash, type c likes the living room, and they take turns in the bathroom.I decided to to try this and I am sharing from the mountain top here. I put this around the base outside of my house only. The next day no ants inside or even near the house outside. The powder is on dirt, concrete, and wood. It has rain quite a but since I put my protection ring and it's still working. The best part is I still have plenty to put more down.Update: since the initial application I have now reapplied my ring around the house. It has been around 4 months since the initial application. But I'm okay with it. Some areas did not need reapplication though. Mainly the high traffic areas where we wore it off. 1 container gave me 2 full applications around my small house. So I will be buying again.

Didn’t work as intended as it only killed a few and is not waterproof.

Very effective for the cost! Easy to sprinkle on the ant piles around the house. They were relentless! And they're gone! Worked like a charm for us!

I sprinkle this around the poles of my deck and it keeps the ants from coming up on it. I use it every spring and summer and would never want to be without it. Great product in every way!!!

We haven't seen as many ants, that's for sure - but we also tried 3 products at the same time so (dummy me) its hard to determine exactly what it was. However this was the product we used for the outside - where they are coming from - and it seemed to keep them out, so a huge win there. The only thing I don't like about the "dust" is that it's very messy - I was hoping it would go down a bit more transparently but you still can see the white ring around our cabin. So I couldn't do a 5 start even though I really wanted to. Not sure how they could solve that problem though.

Terro is one of the few ant repellents that are listed to get rid of ants in your yard. I bought a duster bulb to dispense the product as well. I use it on any ant mounds in my lawn. It's good but very time consuming to walk around and dust every mound if you have a large yard. I have had to buy several cans and use it several times but it's a good product.

This stuff works! Our warehouse in an industrial area is swarming with sugar ants. We have professional pest control and they couldn't get rid of them. Their treatment killed them by the tens of thousands, but there were just as many to replace them. They seemed to be after moisture as we were in a drought. I tried Maple syrup and borax which works well. Killed them by well, but still more kept coming. Ordered the stick in the ground bait traps by same company. Put them close to the hole under the foundation where I think the colony is. They emptied 4 traps in a day. They still kept coming. Ordered the DuPont gel bait. They didn't touch it. Tried some powder by the front door where they were swarming. Next day, they were gone. Not an ant in sight. Put powder around one side of the building (they were entering from two sides). Completely shut them down. Put some powder in our second (unused) warehouse where they were swarming. Checked 2 days later and traffic was reduced by 75% and dead ants everywhere. Put some around the warehouse rest room that we were literally filling a dust pan a day of dead ants. Next day, none were present. I found their main entry point to the colony and nuked that hole. Only a few survivors walking through it the next day. I have pretty much surrounded the perimeter of the building. I found maybe a start of a new colony in the parking lot and dusted that area.In conclusion, this stuff works. I am not sure if they are avoiding the area or have simply died off. Evidence kind of suggests both. I just walked though the 5000 sq ft. warehouse and saw on ant. Everything else (except the gel bait) killed them as well, but did nothing to keep them out or diminish them. I will keep vigilant and make sure that they don't come back with this trusty powder. The picture is what the floor of the bathroom looked like every morning.Update. Amazon listing says 1 pound, but I have ordered it twice now and received 2 pounds each time. Also, take the waterproof claim with a grain of salt. We had a decent rain last night and a lot of it washed away. Still keeping my 5 star rating however.

I have a major ant problem every spring. Over the years, I've used a bunch of different products - Terro's liquid, Grant's Ant Stakes, Raid traps. Usually the Grant's and Terro work but they take about a week and during that time I'm miserable. So overrun that I cannot even cut a piece of fruit without ants swarming on me. Yuck.Last spring, even those old standbys didn't work and I was desperate to find something. I poured some Terro Ant Killer Dust into a crack near my kitchen sink that was an ant hotbed, and within a minute or two the ants were gone! It was like turning on a switch. Within a few minutes, they were all gone from the kitchen. ALL gone. And they didn't come back. A miracle. This spring it hasn't worked so well. It's still chilly here, not warm enough for the ant battalions, but I've had a few strays. I saw about a dozen around the sink yesterday, applied the Terro dust and that seemed to do the trick. Until today. They were back. Are back.I called Terro directly and they said the product may degrade a bit after a year. So what I have from last year might not be full strength anymore. I've ordered more and will update my review once I've applied it.I've given the product only 3 stars because it is seriously toxic. To apply it, I wear a mask and disposable rubber gloves,. I put it in an empty plastic kitchen bottle with a long snout to place it in cracks directly. Even so, it's a fine powder and billows and spreads and messes no matter how careful I am. I wish Terro made this as a liquid or paste that could be applied more easily and stay put.
