About this item

  • 🌻 PREMIUM COMPOST STARTER: Teraganix Premium Bokashi Bran is enriched with useful effective microorganisms that help break down organic waste without any unpleasant odors. Contains Premium Rice Bran, EM-1, and Molasses.
  • 🌻 HOW TO USE: Use Boakshi compost activator with all types of food scraps from orange peels to eggs shells, meat bones to potato skin. Our compost accelerator breaks down food waste to release valuable nutrients that are highly beneficial to plants when composted. When chopped into 1” pieces, food will compost quicker than larger pieces. For use with an indoor compost bin, outdoor compost bin, compost tumbler, or any other composter of your choice!
  • 🌻 STEPS TO TAKE: Using is simple – just gather your family’s food waste in a Bokashi bucket. Sprinkle Bokashi compost starter over each layer of waste. When bucket is full, seal tightly and let sit to ferment for 2 weeks. Then add bucket’s contents to an existing garden bed or soil that needs amending. Bury in the ground with at least 4-8 inches of soil. After a few weeks, you now have the best soil to plant with. Compost bucket for kitchen and countertop compost bin with lid sold separately.
  • 🌻 USE AS FERTILIZER: Premium Bokashi compost inoculant is used often by growers who add the dry mix directly to potted soil. Adding this microbial inoculant and recharge nutrient results in larger yields and bigger plants by making nutrients more available for the plants to use. Whatever you choose to use Premium Bokashi for, you can take pride in the fact that you will grow more and waste less.
  • 🌻 ENDLESS USES: Use Premium Bokashi bran to clean up spilled oil, put it in kitty litter, add to a compost tea brewer, worm composter, portable toilets, and waterless (composting) toilets, as it is highly effective at controlling odors.

I have this on subscription. I have currently 5 dogs and live in the country. I use this to deal with their waste. I compost it down in an area we won't be using in the usual way only we don't use it for human consumption. We have lots of leaves so we layer everything including this Kashi and the compost piles are reduced to half size in a matter of a few days. I do also sometimes use the Kashi in my raised beds and I routinely use it in my regular garden compost pile. It's kinda expensive so I don't use as much of it as I would like to be honest. But there are visible differences in the compost.

This is a great product! TeraGanix is legit! I am familiar with Professor Dr. Teruo Higa and his work with Effective Microorganisms. I'm so glad this product is available here on Amazon! I have multiple compost bins going on at home. I have a Hot compost bin, a worm bin, a compost tea brewer and now a bokashi compost. This stuff has a nice sweet smell and I feel like it's already at work in my compost. I've spread it in all of the bins and throughout the garden! Thank you for the great product!

Works great. Good value.. Easy to use. Wish it was a little bigger bag though for that price.

First time I bought this brand - all my previous purchases have been the "All Seasons" bokashi mix. TeraGanix quickly got lumpy and very difficult to mix in, much less sprinkle on, my food waste. Soon after, my (air tight) bin of TeraBani bran also had its own crop of white mold (making it even harder to use), and today I opened my bin of bran and it now also had blue mold and something red (??) growing in it. Holy cow, what sort of toxins am I brewing? I just threw out the equivalent of about 1/3 of a bag, and only about the first 1/3 was any good before it got too lumpy to use well. Won't be ordering again.

I have complete my local city's requirements for education relating to being a master composter. That being said, I am fairly new to composting. We made our own innoculated bran that worked extremely well, so when I ran out and needed to make more I thought what better way to hold me over than by going to the source? It is much more expensive than to make it myself, but I was in a jam. Wish I had just waited. I felt like I had to use more just to get it to not smell as bad do it's thing ... It constantly had more and more mold growing (yes I know that's normal, but this was way worse than my first round). And the rotting smell continued to get worse. Not only that, but once the Bokashi was ready to be moved to a bio-composter .... The stuff that's been sitting there has become awful - it never composted! While I will be buying the EM liquid in the future, I will never buy this again. :(

I purchased this for my garden, and it's been a great addition to my composting. The product was well-packaged and easy to use; I just mixed it with kitchen garbage. After a few weeks, I noticed a significant reduction in unpleasant odors from the compost. The product came with clear instructions, and the results were noticeable. I highly recommend itfor anyone looking to boost their garden's health and reduce organic waste.

Bag was open and the bran was muddy and smelly. Sadly, not even worth the 1 star that I am forced to give in order to submit this review.

Pics are 3 days after putting down 2 inches of compost and spreading 1 cup bokashi on top. White fluffy stuff is the amazing fungal mat forming. Living f'n soil!! Grokashi seemed to be a bit better but this stuff is great too. Plants jump toward the sky when transplanted into a probiotic earthbox. Healthiest, tastiest, stinkiest most beautiful plants that grow themselves with only dolomite lime, bio-complete compost, and bokashi as inputs! Thats only $4 or $5 per earthbox per run! Blows my mind that this is so slept on by hobby/medicinal growers. Takes 100% of the guesswork out of feeding and watering. With the amount of microbes obviously present I would guess it would work great in a fermenting countertop compost bucket though I have never used it that way.Heads and tails better than Bokashi bros. which I have bought and used multiple times.
