My refrigerator has one of those middle drawers that pull out, separate from the main fridge section. The drawer has its own temperature control so it can have a different temperature than the rest of the fridge. The problem was that the controls are digital and the light on the controls went out so you when you try and see the temperature you can't see what it is set to. With this handy little device I can put it in the fridge drawer and now I can see what temperature it is set to. I tested it in the main section of the fridge to confirm that it was showing me the correct temperature and the readings it gave me matched what the fridge was set to. The only thing I don't like about it is that it requires an app to function. I would prefer not to have to use yet another app but it's not that big of a deal. It is a bit on the pricey side but for me this little device has saved me lots of money vs what it would have cost to fix my fridge so I'm definitely happy.

I had a serious fight to get it to show up in the app - scanning over and over and nothing. Part of it was, I kept trying to put the thermometer into pairing mode - quick blink (as most devices do) - it would do the quick blink but only for a couple seconds and the app never seemed to be looking at the right time. I'm not sure what the quick blink is, at this point, but after careful rereading of the single postcard of info, I decided to just turn the thermometer on (one blink) and keep scanning until it showed up. It did, eventually. One blink for on, several blinks for off...and I still don't know what the quick blinks are for. Once connected, I put the thermometer where I wanted to know temperature - it's on my balcony. This is not a read-at-a-glance device, though when you open the app and refresh the list of devices it will tell you what each device sees as current temperature. The point of this seems to be keeping a history - you tap the device in the list, then choose to Download from it, and it will send a record of temperature changes (recorded once an hour) since your last download. (By the way - I tried downloading from my car, two floors and a parking lot away from the device - it successfully saw the device and told me the immediate temperature, but repeatedly failed at actually downloading. I came upstairs for a better connection and it worked fine - about a 30-foot range, as expected). If you then view the logs, you get a graph of temperatures since you originally connected to the device. It's only been a few days, so I'm not certain, but I'm not being able to adjust the period of the graph - it insists on being days. There's a scale across the top, of 1h 1d 1w 1m 1y all, but it seems to only have 1d selected and I can't change it. The Stats page lets me set different date ranges and see min, max, and average temperature for that range. Settings lets you change between C and F, plus various other things (sounds, language, etc). Note that you do have to create a (free) BlueMaestro account to use the device. And one minor annoyance - the app ignores the Back button/gesture (on Android), you have to swipe it away/hit the Home key to get out of it. Overall - slightly difficult to set up, but once it's set it works nicely and gives a lot of info.After a while of use - yes, with a longer graph I can choose to look at different periods. I'm finding myself using it as a one-glance device as often as looking at the graphs - it's several steps (open app, wait until device shows up, then you can see the temperature) but still worth doing before I step outside. No widget. It does show battery level, in teeny tiny type on the device listing - and after more than a month of use, the device is still at 99% battery, so that won't be a regular consideration.

This awesome, and small, thermometer and data recorder really works well. The recorder is about the size of an Apple AirTag (which I think means all those holders might work for this thermometer, to be researched).The recorder has an internal battery, which can be replaced by using a small Phillips Screwdriver to remove two screws on the back. I took a picture of the recorder next to a SD memory card for size comparison.The recorder can store up to 20K data points. At any time, you can use the app for your phone (I downloaded the BlueMaestro app from the iOS App Store for free) to download the data. As soon as I opened the app it found the thermometer/recorder via Bluetooth and displayed the data. It just works, no searching through a list of Bluetooth devices and having to pick the right one. Yes, you can have multiple thermometers/recorders and select them in the app.I put them thermometer/recorder in a room and left it. I came back, opened the app and downloaded the data, which is displayed on a graph. There are several export capabilities including sending the data to a cloud account you are signed into, or exporting a CSV file, which I emailed to my phone and it opened right up. On my Mac, the file opened in Numbers, but you can also put it into Excel. This is very powerful having remote data that is so easy to collect and then analyze on any device.The app graphs the recorded data, or as I mentioned can export it. It also provides stats that include Number of Logs, Logging Interval, Lowest and Highest Temps along with the average temperature. The stats also log when t data has been downloaded. The stats show the start and end times for the data collection as well.The app lets you set either Celsius or Fahrenheit as your preferred method of displaying the data. You can also purge the database. Each thermometer/recorder reports battery charge percentage to the app so you know when you need to install a fresh battery. Each thermometer/recorder has a QR code on the back and the app quickly scans the code and takes you to the Local List of thermometer/recorders, which is a great feature when you have multiple thermometer/recorder set out.This is a powerful sensor and recorder packed into a tiny unit that can fit almost anywhere. I worked with Cold Chains many years ago and thermometers/data recorders were large and cumbersome to use. This Tempo Disc Mini Wireless Thermometer Sensor and Data Logger is ideal for many uses. My first use is monitoring temps near a kiln that will be running for days, to ensure the space near the kiln is staying at desired temps. FIVE STARS for size, ease of connecting the free app, recording up to 20K data points and the ability to quickly export data into my desktop apps.

Used this to obtain the temperature fluctuations in my garden. I intend to plant a subtropical fruit tree in my garden. I live in plant hardiness zone 8 and wanted to see if there are microclimates there with temperatures higher than the generally reported ones. I placed it in a ziplock bag and then placed that inside a waterproof case and then hung it on a tree branch. I monitored the temp for a few days. The temp is logged into the app on my phone. So far, i've been able to obtain a graph of the temperature in that particular area of the garden and have noticed the difference with the reported temperature on weather.com.
