I was able to script it fairly easily in python and use it as a computer interface to various breadboarded prototypes. Plugged into a high power USB socket you can even drive small motors or servos directly with it. Great tool any time you need to try out an idea for computer/real-world interface.

This device allows acquisition of real world data and control of external devices and does it simply. Easy to use, great documentation and support, all at a fair price.
