Our nursery is the coldest room in the house, as we’ve learned. The heater was a dud out of the box. The remote sensor wouldn’t turn on. The heater worked for a little bit and shut off in the middle of night. My little woke up screaming because it was 65 degrees in his room (outside temp was like 18 degrees). I’ve read the manual and nothing did the trick. Waiting on a replacement. Will update.

My 3 year-old upgraded to the “big sister” room this past year. What we didn’t know is that her new room would be 10-12 degrees cooler than the rest of the house on cold winter nights. This thing was a God-send. No exposed heating element or metal to cause contact fires. And it can COOK. On the “2” setting it hold her 12’x14’ room at stable temp all night long in 20 degree outside temps. It is so good, we just bought another one for our own room!

I have both Tempa and Sensa, both work great, but I prefer the Sensa for its auto temperature adjustment. My kid's bedroom drops to a little under 60°F during winter nights and the Sensa has helped in mantaining the temperature to the minimum I set in the machine. Both are quiet, safe and a conviniente size. I feel the quality is the best out there because we use them the entire year (heat during winter and spring, fan during summer and fall). I had the Tempa for 4 years now, and the Sensa for 2 years, the only issue I've encountered is that is difficult to clean the coils and fan, because it will get dust, dog hair and the occational paper my kid will stuck inside it... other than that 5 stars.

The product worked reasonably well when it was working, it stopped functioning after three very short uses to trial the heat before winter (max 10 mins of use!).The lights on the top are very bright, we bought light coverage stickers as suggested.I have contacted customer support - hopefully there will be a fix/solution to it malfunctioning so quickly.

Keeps our little one comfortable at night and is very quiet. We're happy with the safety features as well. Happy that we went with this one since I was a little nervous putting a space heater in our little ones room. No problems so far

I recently purchased the Vornadobaby Tempa Nursery Electric Space Heater for my little one's room, and it has been a game-changer during the chilly nights. As a parent working remotely and residing in OK, where the weather can get quite cold, finding a reliable and safe space heater was a top priority. The Vornadobaby Tempa Nursery heater exceeded my expectations in terms of performance and safety features. The design is adorable and fits seamlessly into the nursery decor. The compact size makes it easy to place in any corner without taking up much space. One of the standout features is the advanced safety system. As a parent, safety is paramount, and the Tempa Nursery heater provides peace of mind. The cool-touch exterior ensures that even if my curious little one touches it, there's no risk of burns. Additionally, the heater automatically shuts off if it overheats or tips over, adding an extra layer of safety. The adjustable thermostat and fan speed settings are convenient for maintaining a comfortable temperature in the room. I appreciate the whisper-quiet operation, as it doesn't disturb my baby's sleep or my remote work calls. The Tempa Nursery heater effectively warms up the room without causing any dryness or discomfort. It creates a gentle and even heat, perfect for ensuring a cozy and snug environment for my baby.In conclusion, the Vornadobaby Tempa Nursery Electric Space Heater has proven to be an excellent investment for our family. This is the third Vornado product that I have purchased for my house, and I can say it is one of my favorites. I bought this one to replace an older AVH10 Model that had a broken power switch. Being that it is the middle of winter here in Chicago and we have an older house, I needed a good & safe solution for heating my son's room. Temporarily, I used the Vornado Velocity 5 that I use in my home office but that unit is a bit too noisy for a nursery.Doing some research, I came across this heater and the Tempa. While the Tempa was at an attractive price point I didn't like that the lockout control was only on the power switch and it did not have a timer. My son is 18 months and loves to turn knobs and flip switches so the Tempa wasn't a good choice. I liked that the Sensa not only had a total control lockout on it, but it also had the crib side/bedside sensor. The timer is also a plus, so you can set it to run through the night and kick off in the morning. I also like the size of the vents where they are wide enough to facilitate good air flow, but small enough to keep curious little toddler fingers away from any element that could cause harm. The downsides that I have with this unit is that the temperature regulation is a bit off. I set the temperature for 67 at night, but it will tend to heat the room to 70-72 depending if the door is open or closed. Some of that variance is due to the house furnace kicking in at night as well, but it usually does not heat the upstairs that much thus the need for the space heater. Also, if you have a smart and curious toddler, it won't take them long to figure out how to defeat the lockout. All they have to do is trigger the tip sensor and it will reset the unit without the lock being reactivated. Granted, they will have to turn it on again but since there is a big power button it won't take them long to figure out.Overall, I would recommend this product to those looking for a good option for heating a nursery or any room for that matter. Of the Vornado units available, this is one of the more attractive units out there. Another great feature is covered cord storage and overall unit size. This can store easily in closet.

Works perfectly in our toddler's room. Cool touch front and thermostat help keep the room warm but not too hot and the kiddo safe. Great product, would definitely recommend it.

I did a ton of research on low wattage, safe, electric heaters. The researched spanned every blog on heaters, every type of heater, every website seller of heaters and every review on heaters. This was our best option by far.PROS- Its crazy quiet, we can sleep with it kicking on in the middle of the night and not even notice.- It is super safe. It has so many safety features and a 3 prong plug so we feel plenty safe to have it running while we sleep.- We live in a tiny house @ 150 sqft. (with tons of windows and a door from the 80's) this little thing keeps the whole house warm in -20 no problem. We are more comfortable than we have been in months prior to finding this heater.- Low wattage! This heater should cost less to operate because it runs at a fraction of other heaters, it also shouldn't kick on and off as frequently as bigger heaters. For households like ours who have low amperage capacity, this heater is a wonderful option to have on the market.- All the extra features/ buttons it comes with listed above. Like the temp setting, cool to the touch and high & low settings.CONS- The temperature setting is a bit annoying as other users have mentioned. I thought we could monitor the house thermostat and turn the temp. dial on the heater to figure out which number 1-7 would correlate with 20 degrees. But that system hasn't worked so far and we have to keep an eye if it kicks on too low or waits too long to kick off again. Bit of a bummer.- The power cord is shorter than other portable heaters. Some random (not good or bad) facts that I would've liked to know before purchase.- There is a little red light on top when its running. It's so quiet I can't always hear when its on having this light means I can just look at the machine. Its not so bright that it shines in the dark- The cord storage at the bottom is nice but it makes it hard to move the heater around without activating the tip over safety function on the bottom. It needs a bit of adjusting sometimes. Carpet may be a nightmare.- The instructions explicitly mention to not use this heater in a bathroom or with an extension cord. So heads up if thats your plan.- Some reviews mention price as a negative factor but the value is pretty great in my opinion. After all my research, 100$ is pretty on market with all other thermostat heaters and the safety features of this one blow the others out of the water. Although getting a sale or warehouse deal would be even better:)Overall, awesome heater for the price, safety, portability and wattage settings. Definitely recommend!!
