A youtube video did a comparison of a bunch of different brands of step drills, this one was rated the best. I ordered it and it is really better than the other four brands that I have in my drill index.I have bought an assortment of three sizes of this same manufacturer, very happy with the product.

Drilled really well for a very short time. Kept it lubricated, speed down, and pressure up; but it blunted extremely quickly and just plain stopped drilling.

Works great. The spiral shape of cut reduces tear out. Highly recommend this tool.

Bought this based on the Project Farm video. He aint wrong! this dude will EAT! Very fast and clean cutting. Excellent finish on the holes. Definitely recommend.

Used this to drill 6 holes in a pickup truck frame to mount a towing receiver mount. It did the job fine, and I believe will still drill more holes. No complaints.

I’ve never used a step bit before and I have been missing out. This thing is amazing, it drills through metal with ease and it seems to continue to stay sharp. I have used drill bits in the past that were made for metal and they got dull so quick but this step bit keeps on going. I also use oil lubricant to help keep the bit cooler which I think helps a lot. I am very happy with this product and it was well worth the money.

Best Step Bit I've ever owned! Cuts so fast I have to slow the speed down to not go past the size I want. Price is almost as low as the cheapest ones.

There's nothing I dislike about this. Used it to ream the door hinges on my Suzuki Swift to accept stouter hinge pins and bushings. Very sharp, very effective. I'd recommend this tool
