Hoy lo he devuelto.

I mostly liked this remote. I hate reading instruction booklets and I was able to figure this out without much effort. It paired easy with both my Gopros. I can switch between them with the same remote which is REALLY nice. However it does take several keypresses to make that happen.I like the color screen which makes it easier to read with my old eyes. It's handy to be able to switch from video to photo to timed shot from the remote. I like that it gives you a counter to show that it's recording. It also shows how much storage and how much battery is left in the camera which is great. It's not perfect, you can't change all the settings like you can from the Quick app but I can't strap my phone to my wrist either. This remote will be very handy on our canoe trips so I can leave my phone in a waterproof bag and not risk losing or destroying it.

I was incredibly disappointed when GoPro dropped Apple Watch support for the GoPro app. That had been so incredibly convenient and I couldn’t imagine why they wouldn’t want to continue supporting it. (Probably to sell more GoPro Remotes.) So, I was pretty excited to see this little device and ordered it right away when I saw it. Overall this controller has worked flawlessly for me so far, but there are definitely some tricks to setting it up and using it. Here are some tips (and review pros and cons) that I hope will help you decide if you want to buy this, and help you use it if you do:– Turn on the GoPro FIRST and put it in sync mode before you turn on the remote control and try to sync it.– This device pairs as “Quik App” which is INCREDIBLY confusing since the official app is called “GoPro Quik.” I don’t know if that name is assigned by the remote control manufacturer or by GoPro firmware, but I did not like the confusing similarity one single bit. The first time I synced this I couldn’t tell if it was the remote control or the iPhone app that had synced.– That said, you can use both the remote control AND the GoPro Quik app at the same time, which is super convenient. However, I could NOT make finer camera settings using the remote control, only switch between Video, Camera, and Timer modes. In using this, I use the GoPro Quik app to set up my camera settings (or do so directly on the camera) and for previewing and adjusting my camera angle, and then use the remote control only for turning the GoPro on or off and for starting and stopping recording while I’m busy fishing or paddling without having to take my camera out of my pocket or dry case. I also very much like that the camera mode is very clearly displayed on the remote in case you accidently hit the wrong button and change it (a problem I did have repeatedly with my Apple Watch!).– Once this is paired, it syncs instantly when you turn on the remote control. Again, make sure the GoPro is on first.– You install the strap with the pretty gray side facing IN (the opposite of what I’d expect). The black fuzzy part of the strap will be on the outside of your wrist.– Especially if you are wearing a watch on your other arm and strap this onto your dominant arm, BE CAREFUL putting it on. The controller can slide right off the strap, and putting it on your wrist using your nondominant hand (unlike your watch) this is very easy to drop (which I did testing it indoors). Drop this overboard from your kayak or jet ski and you are out of luck!– I really like that the remote displays the GoPro battery power so you can tell how much juice you have left, and when you may need to change the battery. So that’s it. This remote works well (knowing a few tricks) but does not fully control the camera. There are various brands of GoPro remotes available (including the official GoPro versions which are of course the most expensive) so compare reviews before you buy.

I’ve used the app and the remote. I like them both.

This is very handy, but it's a bit bulky. It's almost like strapping a camera to your wrist. The velcro strap feels a bit flimsy too. Other than that, this is a nice remote. Once you have it paired and setup, it's easy to use, and the display shows you the status when the camera is strapped to your helmet or on the roof of your car. I also like the big round shutter button to start and stop the recordings. The official remote is expensive, and it's quicker than using a phone, so it's a good option. This is currently at $32 with the coupon.

Looks definitely fancier than it is.3 buttons. Large button is not a scroll wheel or have any sort of directional functionality as one may assume for how large it is. It is only one button smack in the center that is it.The wrench button is used for only moving down the menu and cycles all the way through again. The mode button doesn't work in menu only on main screen.Does have a strap that seems nice. Not sure if its water proof but it seems like it should be from all the rubber plugs but I wouldn't trust it.When charging it never tells you when its full even after a full 12 hours of charging via usb c.It just cycles from low to high on the display.Overall. In a bind this could work and help did connect to the hero 11 pro which had some fiddling to get to work. I feel like there maybe better solutions out there
