I have the Chapin 63985 backpack sprayer and needed a tip with a wider spray pattern with larger water droplets. I use this tip to apply liquid soil amendments (RGS/Humic Acid etc), Pre-emergents (Prodiamine) and other products where the product needs to reach the soil or root zone. In order to use this tip with this Chapin sprayer, you need the TeeJet QJT-NYB QJ Body Assembly and 3/8" brass fittings (from your local hardware store).Update: I upgraded to the Flowzone Typhoon backpack sprayer and these spray tips and this sprayer is in a class of it's own. I can adjust the spray pressure to walk fast or slow, depending on what I prefer at the moment. The stock spray tips that come with any of those sprayers out there just don't measure up to the TeeJets.
